Preliminary information

Before getting to the heart of this tutorial and explaining how to get out of sync between iPhone and iPad , let me give you some preliminary information in this regard.

First of all, you must know that the synchronization between two or more devices associated with the same Apple ID takes place via iCloud , the Apple service that allows you to securely store your photos, files, notes, passwords and many other app data. and the operating system in the cloud, automatically synchronizing them on all devices on which the service in question is active.

This means that to disable synchronization between iPhone and iPad, simply disable iCloud – for individual data or completely – on one or both devices. Keep in mind, however, that by doing so you will not only lose synchronization between iPhone and iPad but also that between iPhone / iPad and all other devices associated with your Apple ID.

To understand better, let’s take a practical example. If you have decided to activate iCloud on iPhone , have enabled synchronization of your photos and it is also active on iPad and Mac, the photos you take from iPhone will also be automatically available on iPad and Mac (and vice versa). If, however, you decide to stop the synchronization between iPhone and iPad, by deactivating iCloud on your “iPhone by” the photos will no longer be synchronized on iPad but not even on Mac.

Therefore, if, in addition to your iPhone and iPad, you have other devices associated with your Apple ID, before deactivating iCloud, evaluate well on which Apple devices you actually want to disable this feature and on which to keep it active. Regardless of your choice, keep in mind that you can re-enable syncing at any time. Having clarified this, let’s see how to proceed.

How to un-sync Photos between iPhone and iPad
