How to Fix Activation64.dll Missing Error in Windows?
The Activation64.dll file is missing error when launching some games on a PC. The error message says the following:
The program cannot start because Activation64.dll is missing from the computer. Try reinstalling the program.
As a rule, the error appears in The Sims 4 and the old parts of the FIFA series – products of EA . In some cases, the text of the error may differ from the above, but it should carry the same meaning: some file is missing/corrupted/modified, and therefore the application cannot be launched.
Solving the error about the absence of Activation64.dll
Reinstalling the application
The most logical solution in this case is a complete reinstallation of the game. To remove an application from your computer, you need to do the following:
- press WIN + R to call the “Run” window;
- paste in an empty line CONTROL and press ENTER;
- change the view mode to small or large icons;
- open the “Programs and Features” section;
- find the problematic game in the list, right-click on it and select “Delete”;
- follow the instructions to uninstall the application.
After removal, reinstall the toy – reinstallation is completed.
The use of the “tablet”
Owners of a not quite licensed version can be advised to throw a “pill” on the game again. Why? The fact is that the Activation64 file is part of the DRM protection of the application, which could be modified during hacking. Where can you find the pill? Usually, it is located in the game installer folder or downloaded separately. In more rare cases, the tablet is automatically added to the game folder during installation.
