Flagship smartphone Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is in high demand in China
On August 11, Xiaomi announced the flagship Redmi K50 Extreme Edition. Soon, pre-orders for the smartphone were opened. At the same time, the demand for a new product in the top configuration (12 GB / 512 GB) turned out to be so high that at the moment this version cannot be ordered in any color.
President of Xiaomi Group China and CEO of Redmi Lu Weibing has already reacted to the situation. He assured users of the social network Weibo that the production of Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will be accelerated, while warning of a possible shortage of the top version, which costs $550.
Recall that the novelty is based on the high-performance mobile platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The flagship is offered to the consumer with memory sets of 8 GB / 128 GB, 8 GB / 256 GB, 12 GB / 256 GB and 12 GB / 512 GB. The operating system is Android 12 with MIUI 13 add-on.
The model is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The selfie camera is equipped with a 20 MP sensor. The rear camera received optical sensors at 108 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP. A 5000 mAh battery is responsible for power, supporting 120-watt wired charging.
The new Redmi flagship will arrive on Chinese marketplaces on August 16.
