Final Fantasy ffxv error 15

The game expected by many from Square Enix was not long in coming, but fans of the “final” faced a number of technical problems both at launch and during the passage. One of the most common problems is the ffxv error.

The problem indicated in the screenshot is related to a lack of RAM. Also, the reason may be the lack of space on the hard drive for the paging file. The game is quite demanding, and before considering the main options for solving the problem, be sure to read the official system requirements stated by the developers:

Minimum for 780p and 30fps Recommended for 1080p and 30fps
Operating system Windows 7, 8.1, 10 (64 bit) at least Windows 10 (64-bit)
Processor (GHz) Intel i5-2500 (3.3 GHz) / AMD FX-6100 (3.3 GHz) and better AMD FX-8350 (4.0 GHz) / Intel Core i7-3770 (3.4 GHz) or better
Video adapter GTX 1050 / NVIDIA GTX 760 / AMD Radeon R9 280 or higher Radeon RX 480 / NVIDIA GTX 1060 or better
RAM 8 Gb 16 GB
Hard disk space (HDDSSD) 100 GB 100 Gb

It is important to remember that the coincidence of characteristics does not guarantee stable operation.

(Pay attention to the picture quality settings and the FPS value. The standard settings in the game may differ).

Solution

  1. Reduce frame rate. By default, the FPS value is 120, you need to set it to 30 in the game settings.
  2. In the video settings (as in the first paragraph), you must uncheck the “vertical sync” checkbox.
  3. Update DirectX 11

to the latest version by clicking on the link.

For Windows 7 users: By clicking on the link, scroll down a little, select the version that is suitable for the architecture of the OS as shown in the screenshot.

Windows 10 users: This version of Windows comes with DirectX 11.3 and 12 preinstalled. Updates will be made available through Windows Update. There is no separate DirectX version data package. Transfer the game to an SSD drive – this will significantly speed up the loading of textures, and will not only avoid jerking, but also play at ultra-high settings. If this is not possible, be sure to defragment the hard drive.
