Why does the message “Call ended” appear when calling?

Why are there no beeps and the phone call is dropped?

In a situation where during a call the user does not connect to the subscriber, and the message “Call completed” is heard, the reason can be both on the side of the caller and on the side of the one who is being called.

Outgoing call barring

In the user’s call settings, there may be an item that prohibits all outgoing calls. It is usually located in the “Block” section in the calls and contacts menu. If the slider is activated opposite the “Barring all outgoing calls” line, it must be switched to an inactive position.

Do Not Disturb or Airplane Mode is on

Before making a call, you need to check whether one of the modes that restrict incoming and outgoing calls is enabled on the phone. You can turn them off through the phone settings or through the “curtain” by swiping the screen from top to bottom. If one of the modes is enabled, the status bar will show an airplane icon ( airplane mode ) or moon icon ( Do Not Disturb mode ).

Problems with the SIM card

If the user cannot get through to anyone, and the call ends immediately, you need to check the operation of the SIM card. It may be damaged or dirty. Also, over time, metal contacts are erased, so it is recommended to replace the SIM card with a new one every few years . If you cannot consistently get through, no matter where the user is and what device he is calling from, the SIM must be reissued.

Change your preferred network type

Changing your preferred network type can fix connection problems. To do this, the user needs:

  1. Open wireless settings.
  2. Find the section with SIM-cards and select the one you need.
  3. In the “Preferred network type” item, change the type to any other and try to get through again.

So it is necessary to try out all available types, repeating the call on each of them.

Network problems

If the call ends immediately, then the reason may be:

  • Increased operator workload.
  • Preventive maintenance at the base station.
  • Area of poor coverage: distance from the station, basement floors, etc.
  • The presence of obstacles to the passage of the signal.

Such problems are temporary, so changing the location and trying to call again should solve them.

Black list

If the user is blacklisted by the person they are trying to call, the call will fail. Instead, the subscriber may hear the phrase “ Line is busy ”, or a message will immediately appear on the screen that the call has ended.

Operator lock

If none of the methods helped to solve the problem, you need to contact your mobile operator. The user may have been blocked or barred from outgoing calls.
