In today’s blog, I will explain, in fact, how to make the sword in Minecraft. Obviously, I will not just show you the procedure to carry out this project, but I will also give you all the necessary indications to find the necessary materials in Survival mode. Preliminary information
Before explaining in detail how the sword is made in Minecraft, I think it may interest you to have more information about what elements you need to build it.
Well, Mojang’s title allows the player to make swords relatively easily. In fact, the wooden sword, which is the least powerful and least durable of the game, can be created already in the early stages of the game even in Survival mode.
More precisely, it is enough to access a workbench, which is created by joining 4 units of axes and place 2 units of axes on top of 1 stick within the crafting table. Axis units can be obtained directly from tree trunks, while the stick is created by joining 2 axis units. In short, nothing complicated.
However, in Minecraft there are various elements to build a longer lasting and more powerful sword than the wooden one, which has a duration of 52 and is able to do a damage equal to 4 (5 in the Bedrock Edition of the game): just use the same “recipe” that I showed you earlier, replacing the axes with units of stone, iron, gold, diamond or netherite.
As for the stone, it is possible to use crushed stone, while for the iron the relative ingots can be used. For the golden sword will exploit the gold bullion and that of diamond is clearly using the diamond. This latter sword has a duration of 1562 and does 7 damage.
However, the most powerful sword, namely that of netherite , requires a slightly different “recipe”. In fact, it is created by taking a diamond sword and combining it with an ingot of netherite , a material introduced through an update dating back to 2020. It is therefore available in versions 1.16 of the game.
To find netherite, you need to go deep into the area called the Nether , mine the ancient debris and use a furnace to refine it. After that, you need to combine 4 fragments of netherite and 4 gold bars to obtain the netherite ingots needed to create the aforementioned sword. Think that the latter has a resistance of 2032 and does 8 of damage.
How to make a sword in Minecraft
After explaining to you what are the main materials needed to create the various swords in Minecraft, I would say to take action and show you concretely how to make them. In this chapter I will show you how to make swords out of wood, stone, iron, gold and diamond.
The first thing to do is to place a workbench on the ground. At this point, interact with it and place 2 units of aces on the top and 1 unit of club on the bottom. This way, you can take out the wooden sword.
Moving on to the stone one, the procedure is the same, but you must use 2 units of crushed stone.
The same goes for the iron sword, but in this case 2 iron ingots must be used.
As you can imagine, 2 gold bars are needed for the golden sword.
Finally, the diamond sword requires 2 units of diamond.
Perfect, now you know all the “recipes” of the case to create the “standard” swords.
How to make a netherite sword in Minecraft
It is worth making a separate chapter regarding the netherite sword since the process is more “tortuous” than that required by “standard” swords. Nothing complicated, however, especially once the diamond sword has been created.
Basically, just attach a netherite ingot to the diamond sword and that’s it. Despite this, it can be misleading that you should not use a workbench, but a forging table. The latter is created by joining 4 units of axes and 2 iron ingots.
Once you’ve placed the smithing bench on the ground, interact with it and place the diamond sword on the left and a netherite ingot on the right. This way, you can get the Netherite Sword.
Perfect, now you can roam the world of Minecraft with the most powerful sword.
How to get a lightsaber in Minecraft
How do you say? Would you like something other than the usual “default” swords in the game? Well, if you have the Java version of the game for PC, you can use a special mod made by the community, called ToLaserBlade.
It is available for many versions of Minecraft, including 1.16.1, 1.15.2 and classic 1.12.2, used by many mod lovers. In any case, to download this content you must go to the CurseForge website and press the Download button next to the version of the game you usually use.
Clearly, as with most of the mods for the Java version of Minecraft, you will need to configure the Forge profile and move the .jar file obtained in the appropriate folder. Once this is done, just start the Minecraft Launcher, select the Forge profile from the appropriate menu at the bottom left and press the PLAY button. After that, enter a game in Creative mode, press the E button on your keyboard, click the right arrow icon and press the lightsaber icon.
