Network sources have published interesting details about the future flagship smartphone Mate 50, the release of which is being prepared by Huawei in early autumn.
The screen panel deserves special attention. Insiders claim that the device will be equipped with an OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K. It is noteworthy that such a matrix (2712 x 1220 pixels) is installed in the fresh flagship Redmi K50 Extreme Edition. During the presentation, Xiaomi representatives noted that 1.5K panels are visually almost indistinguishable from 2K screens, while reducing power consumption.
As for the Mate 50, the smartphone is likely to get a similar OLED display, providing a resolution of 2800 x 1225 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The panels will be produced by the Chinese company BOE. According to experts, over time, 1.5K resolution will become the standard in the smartphone market, and Full HD + panels will be used only in low-cost models.
