How to recover Gmail account (forgotten email address):
In order to recover Gmail accounts, the first thing you need to do is connect immediately to the account support web page, made available by Google itself. To do this, open the browser you use most frequently for web browsing and click here.
Once the web page is displayed you will need to follow the procedure for restoring your Gmail account. First of all, in fact, you will have to type the email address for which you are unable to log in and, consequently, the Gmail account you want to recover.
If you are not sure of the name of your email address, you can alternatively type the telephone number connected to it, or the one you indicated when registering your Google e-mail account. Then continue with the recovery procedure by clicking on Next.
If you don’t remember the name of your email address, click Find My Account. The next screen will ask you to enter your recovery email address (or recovery phone number); this will allow you to continue with the procedure for restoring your account. The purpose is to receive an e-mail message containing a code through which you can recover your Gmail account and restore access to it. If, on the other hand, you have chosen the option Enter your phone number for recovery a verification code will be sent to you in order to recover your Gmail account. Depending on your needs, you can choose to receive the verification code via text message or via an automatic telephone call.
To continue, you will then have to type your name and surname of your Google account in the appropriate text fields and then press Next to continue. If the information you provide is correct, you will receive a one-time code at the backup email address you indicated. Then confirm the sending of the message by pressing the Send button and enter the code that will arrive in the appropriate text field on the next screen.
How to recover Gmail account (forgotten password):
If, on the other hand, you remember your email address and you typed it in the appropriate text field to recover it, in the next screen, you will be asked to type the last password you remember and then press the button Next. Don’t remember the password at all? Try to carry out the recovery in an alternative way, by pressing the Try button with another question.
For example, you can try using a recovery email: at the recovery email address you provided, Google will send an email containing a one-time verification code that will allow you to perform the recovery and then log in. Once the six-digit Google Verification Code has arrived to you via email, you will need to copy it into the appropriate text field with the words Enter Verification Code that appears on the screen.
If you have selected the option Try another question because you don’t remember or don’t have access to your recovery email address, you’ll be prompted for the month and year your Google account was created. You can provide the requested information using the drop-down menu, corresponding to the item When did you create this Google account?
Don’t even remember when you created the Gmail account you want to recover? If you press the Try button again with another question, you will have an additional chance to recover your account. You will need to enter an email address that you can check. Google will send a verification code to the address indicated and you can then succeed in your attempt to recover your Gmail account. The verification code that will arrive to you via email will also in this case be entered in the text field that you will find on the screen, visible when you have typed the recovery email address and pressed the Next button.
If Google manages to verify your account ownership, you will then receive the ability to retrieve and log into your Gmail account.
Please note that the procedure for verifying and consequently recovering your Gmail account may also vary depending on the information you have provided on your Gmail account and the security settings active on it. You can see for yourself the various options you have available by clicking on Try with another question.
For example, if you have activated two-step verification on your account (i.e. combined authentication using traditional password and temporary codes to be received via SMS), Google will ask you to have your smartphone handy.
The most common alternative verification option, in this specific case, involves receiving a verification code via SMS to your phone number that you indicated when registering for the account. Once you have received the code via SMS, enter it in the appropriate text field displayed on the screen.
Alternatively, you can request the recovery of your Gmail account by receiving an SMS on the phone number you indicated as the backup number. If, on the other hand, you do not have backup codes and the Google app is installed on your smartphone, you can verify access by receiving a notification on your mobile device.
Another alternative method that will allow you to recover your Gmail account is to answer the security question you previously added to your account. At this point the procedure is completed and you should finally be able to recover Gmail account.
Also keep in mind that the operations that are necessary to perform in order to recover Gmail accounts are always the same whether they are performed from a computer or are performed from a smartphone or tablet.
Finally, know that, in the event that you are unable to recover your Gmail account by following the instructions I have given you in the previous lines, you will have to create a new account, clearly as long as you want to continue using the e-mail service. available from Google. However, considering that Gmail usernames cannot be reused, if you choose to continue using the big G email service you will need to indicate a new username different from the previous one.
