Preliminary information

Before getting to the heart of the tutorial and listing the steps necessary to remove the block on purchases implemented on your device, I think it is useful to provide you with some general information on the latter.

As for Android devices , the Google Play Store , that is the digital store from which it is possible to download applications, games, films, eBooks and other multimedia contents, provides a function called Parental Control with which it is possible to place limits on the use of the store itself for the Google account that explores the pages and contents of the virtual showcase.

Thanks to Parental Control, by creating a numeric PIN code, you can set which games and movies can be shown in searches made on the Play Store. This content is filtered according to the recommended age. In this way, for example, if the filter is set on your device to hide content not suitable for children, it is not possible to view games with the PEGI 18 badge on the store.

With the filter, you can also set up an authentication request for purchases . So here, in this case, trying to buy an app or additional content directly in a game, you are asked to enter the password of the Google account that has implemented Parental Control.

The operating system of Apple portable devices, iOS / iPadOS , has a “standard” parental control (and self-control) feature, called Usage Time , which allows you to view which apps are most used on the device and how long it takes daily to use each of them. Also, just like Play Store Parental Controls, Screen Time allows you to set restrictions on content viewed in the App Store and on purchases , including in-app purchases .

Having said that, before proceeding further, I want to make an important premise: if it was not you who set the restrictions on your device, first of all ask for permission to remove the restrictions from those who provided them (for example your parent or another person). Therefore, I do not take responsibility for the use you will make of this tutorial. Clear? Well, then let’s proceed.

How to enable in-app purchases on Brawl Stars: Android

Below I will show you how to enable in-app purchases on Brawl Stars in the Android version . As I mentioned at the beginning, this is a really simple operation. First, open the Play Store (just press the blue, red and yellow colored triangle icon that you find on the Home screen or in the app menu of your device).

Then, tap on the ≡ icon located at the top, in the left corner of the screen, and press on the Settings item of the menu that is proposed to you (it has a gear icon ). Then scroll through the list shown on the display and tap on the item Request authentication for purchases . Finally, hit on the Never option . Enter your Google account password (see here in case you have forgotten it) and press the OK button .

If it is active, you can also proceed to deactivate biometric authentication for purchases. To do this, go back to the Play Store settings and press the switch next to the Biometric authentication item . If you also want to completely remove Parental Control , just press on the Parental Control item in the Play Store settings menu, then tap on the switch located at the top left and type the password of the Google account of the person who set the filter (if you did not do it yourself, otherwise enter the password of your account) or the PIN code.

Now you shouldn’t have any problems making purchases on Brawl Stars, give it a try now! If, after putting my instructions into practice, when you try to buy something on the store of the game in question, you are repeatedly shown a message asking you to enable in-app purchases through the device settings, you can solve the problem in a simple way.

It may seem like a trivial solution, but try clicking on the box of the item you want to buy until the aforementioned message is no longer displayed. I assure you that I was able to freely return to purchase items in this way after running into this malfunction. If you still notice problems, try closing and reopening Brawl Stars, or alternatively, log back into your Google account via the game settings .

To carry out this last operation, once you have accessed the main page of the game, tap on the  icon at the top, in the right corner and then press on the Settings item . At this point, continue by tapping on the controller icon on the right (the item Access to Google Play ) and press on your account name . Check immediately if the error message still appears.

If so, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the game as well . If you proceed in this direction, once you have completed the initial tutorial, you will be immediately offered the option to continue by continuing with your previous game account. If you are interested in other guides (to know, perhaps, how to improve in this title or how to get Brawler for free ) take a look at this section of my site .

If you have a Huawei device with AppGallery (therefore without Play Store), you can disable any password set for your purchases by going to the Settings menu > [your name]> Payments and purchases> Settings> Payment password .

How to enable in app purchases on Brawl Stars: iOS / iPadOS

Enabling in-app purchases on Brawl Stars is a real breeze even if you are using an iOS / iPadOS device : I’ll explain how to do it right away.

First, open the Settings of your iPhone or iPad (then press on the gear icon found on the Home screen or in the App Library ). Then, click on the Usage time item .

Then tap on the item Content and privacy restrictions and press on the item Purchases on iTunes and App Store . Now, type the code set for Time of use (if required), press on the item In-app purchases and, finally, press on the item Allow . You are now ready to enjoy gems and crates of skins on Brawl Stars. Good fun!

If, after following and putting into practice the instructions I have given you, you should see the message “Enable in-app purchases via your device settings” when you try to buy an item in the in-game store, I invite you to do various attempts by continuing to press several times on the box of the item you want to buy until the aforementioned message is no longer displayed.

Also try to close and reopen the game and, if you still notice malfunctions, also consider uninstalling and reinstalling Brawl Stars on your iPhone or iPad. In this case, after completing the initial tutorial, the game will offer you to continue playing with your previously created profile.
