How to link Epic accounts to PS4

The titles you play most often on computer are Fortnite and Rocket League. Over the course of long sessions, to your great satisfaction, you have accumulated a real “virtual fortune” on both games: skins, special items, exclusive cars and more. For a few days, however, due to a breakdown, your PC has been undergoing repairs and you would like to play the titles in question on PS4 , without having to start everything “from scratch”.

You’ve heard that it is possible to transfer your game progress by associating your Epic account to the console, but having never done this before you would need a little help to do so. Did I guess? Great! In this case, if you want, I can give you a hand myself: in the course of the next few lines, in fact, I will explain to you in detail how to connect Epic accounts to PS4 .

You will see that, by following my instructions to the letter, you will have no problem doing what you set out to do; also because, the operation in question is really very simple. So take your mouse, controller, smartphone or tablet (depending on your reference platform) and get ready to repeat the steps that I will show you in the next chapters. Enjoy your reading and have fun!

Preliminary information

Before taking action, I think it’s useful to give you a quick overview of the possibilities offered by linking your Epic account to PS4 and what the conditions are for it to be possible.

To begin with, the Epic Games account must necessarily be linked to that of the PlayStation Network . The latter is the same one you use to shop on the PlayStation Store and play online with your friends. If you do not have a profile of this type, you will find all the instructions to create one in my tutorial dedicated to the topic .

That said, there are several reasons why linking your Epic account to your PSN account is beneficial. As mentioned at the beginning, you must know that by connecting the two profiles in question it is possible to synchronize game progress for different titles such as Fortnite and Rocket League .

This means that your game profile with all unlocked items can be automatically “shared” between the various platforms on which you play the title for which the feature is available. This way, you will also be able to find the same friends on the PS4 version of your Epic Games that you had added on other platforms via your Epic account.

The same link also allows you to access all content purchased through microtransactions on PS4 (i.e. in-game purchases paid for with real currency and other paid content) on other gaming platforms.

A clarification before continuing: an Epic account can only be linked to a specific PSN account (even if you decide to unlink the two accounts later, the Epic account can only be associated again with the PSN account you linked it to. the first time and not to a different one). Therefore, if you have more than one PSN account, consider carefully which one to link your Epic profile to. Is everything clear so far? Well then let’s proceed!

How to associate Epic accounts with PS4

In the next chapters I will show you in detail how to link Epic accounts to PS4 . As already mentioned above, the operation is really immediate, regardless of your reference platform. I also inform you that it is also possible to associate the aforementioned account directly from Fortnite on the console.

How to link Epic accounts to PS4 from computer

Link your account Epic to ‘ PSN account on the computer will ask you only a handful of clicks and you can do it directly from the official website of the store Epic Games using any web browser . First, open the home page of the Epic Games site and click on the Login item in the upper right corner.

Then press the Login with Epic Games button and type the email address associated with your account in the appropriate field . Then enter the password in the lower field (if you don’t remember it, take a look at my tutorial on how to recover your Fortnite password ) and, finally, press the Login now button ! .

At this point, click on your username , in the upper right corner, and then click on the Account item in the menu that is proposed to you. Proceed, therefore, by clicking on the item Links located in the list on the left, then click on the item Account on the right. From here, click on the Connect button under PlayStation Network and then click on the Connect Account button .

A new page will open where you will need to enter the credentials ( email address and password ) of the PSN account (click here if you don’t remember them) in the appropriate fields. Once this is done, press the Login button and then the Connect Account button and that’s it.

If, at a later time, you decide to “separate” the two accounts, go back to the Links section of your Epic account and first press the Disconnect button , located under the PlayStation Network item , and then the Disconnect button . That’s all!

How to link Epic accounts from PS4

Do you prefer to proceed directly from PS4 ? You can do what I told you in the previous chapter using the browser of the Sony console (to start it, just press the X key of the controller on the WWW icon in the main menu or in your library ) and following the same steps that I showed you previously ) . Alternatively, you can link an Epic account to PS4 directly upon first launching Fortnite .

After downloading the game to your console, press the controller’s X button on its icon in the PS4 main menu to launch it. After the initial loading you will be automatically taken to the title splash screen. Then press the X button on the item Connect an account and then you will be shown a code .

Pin it somewhere and proceed by connecting to the epicgames.com/activate page (in the meantime don’t press any other buttons on the PS4 controller and stay on the code screen). Once the login page opens, type the code you previously pinned and press the Continue button .

How to link Epic accounts to PS4 from smartphones and tablets

How do you say? Do you want to know if it is possible to connect Epic accounts to PS4 from smartphones and tablets ? Of course yes! I’ll show you immediately how to proceed. Connect to the main page of the Epic store , with any browser and tap the ≡ button at the top right. Awards, then the item Login and then tap the button Sign in with Epic Games .

Now enter the email address and password of your account and press the Login Now button ! , to log in. At this point, tap the ≡ button again, press the name of your account located at the bottom and then tap the Account item . Then continue by pressing the button at the top left, next to the Account Settings item and, from here, press the Links item .

To proceed, all you have to do is press the Connect button under the PlayStation Network item , then tap the Connect account button and enter your PSN account credentials . Really easy, do you agree?
