Windows 10 Shutdown Button Not Working

There are several ways to shut down the PC, but many users prefer to use the off button. When talking about shutdown, users reported the following difficulties:

Install the latest updates

Windows 10 is a reliable operating system, but sometimes it crashes. If the shutdown is faulty on the PC, the error is due to the system. Installing the latest updates will fix the issue. By default, the operating system will automatically install the missing updates. Check for their presence manually by following these steps:

  1. Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app.
  2. When the Settings app opens, navigate to Update & Security.
  3. Click Check for Updates.

Windows will now check for available updates. If any are available, they will download automatically, then install after reboot.

Changing the power button settings

Incorrect settings sometimes do not shut down the PC. They are configured to perform several actions. The following will help to change:
