PS4 error CE-30774-1

Many PS4 system users are faced with an update issue accompanied by error CE-30774-1, which states that the update cannot be performed. In this case, the system cannot update the software using the USB stick. Go to the [Settings] menu item and select [System software update ] to update. If  error CE-30774-1 reoccurs,  follow the instructions below:

Step 1:  Format your USB drive in FAT or exFAT format. Connect your USB storage device to your PC and select [Format] from the context menu (right-click on the USB shortcut). After that, a formatting window will appear, in which you must specify the FAT or exFAT format in the file system selection area.

Step 2:  It is important to save the update file in a specific folder. Without disconnecting the USB drive from the PC, create a folder named UPDATE in it. Place an update file called PS4UPDATE.PUP in this folder. If the  CE-30774-1 error persists, then the update file is most likely corrupted. It should be removed and re-downloaded from the official site.

Step 3:  If the error CE-30774-1  repeats again, you should delete the file from the USB drive and reload it.
