OneDrive on Android won’t sync – fix it!
There are many cloud storage packages out there today, and most of them are used with mobile devices, whose manufacturers do not increase the internal storage capacity of new products, as this is not so popular anymore. Mobile users choose a cloud storage provider and install the app. Each of these apps has its own pros and cons. The most popular now are Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. OneDrive Cloud offers a free 5GB profile. When recommending the service to your friends or turning on photo sync, you get 30 GB of space as a gift. The program integrates with your mobile device and allows you to automatically back up your files. If you’re on an Android system, OneDrive is easy to set up and install. However, sometimes users complain about the lack of device synchronization. There are many reasons why this is happening, including: running an old version of the application, running out of cloud space, unreliable connection, incorrect operating system update, or permission denied. Regardless of the nature of the problem, try the solutions in the article to fix the problem.
Check your internet connection
Make sure the error is present on your mobile network and Wi-Fi. If this happens in one situation, you will have to check your mobile operator’s provider.
Mark files offline on device
Changes made offline are saved the next time you connect to the network. The files are readable offline, but they are edited online.
Reinstall the app
- Open Settings and Applications.
- Click on “Manage Programs”.
- Tap Van Drive.
- Click Stop and then Clear Data and Clear Cache.
- Remove the program.
- Reinstall the program from the Google Play Store.
Check file size
- Is the file larger than 15 GB? It causes synchronization difficulties. Try to reduce the file size by archiving it in the OneDrive desktop app instead of uploading it to the website.
Pause syncing:
- Select the cloud icon in the notification area on the taskbar.
- In the Activity Center, select More.
- Select Pause Synchronization.
- When the pause ends, the process will resume.
