Preliminary information

Before explaining how to see likes on a friend’s Instagram, I need to give you some useful preliminary information about it.

First of all, if you’re wondering how to see all the likes on a friend’s Instagram, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but there’s no longer a feature to do that. In the past there was a section of Instagram that allowed you to see, in real time, the “likes” posted on the posts of others by the people followed.

Unfortunately, it was later removed. At the present time, therefore, this functionality is no longer available and it is no longer possible to obtain this information.

To date, you can only see the “likes” relating to the individual posts displayed in the Feed. Furthermore, you must know that through the Instagram app for Android and iOS it is not possible to see the number of “likes”, but only the names of those who have put the likes.

From a computer, however, as I will explain in this guide of mine, it is possible to know the exact number of “likes” that a particular post has received, as well as having information on the names of people who have appreciated it.

How to see your friend’s likes on Instagram

To start, start the Instagram app and log in to your account, if required, then go to the profile of the friend of your interest and then tap on the post you would like to know more about.

In the new screen that at this point is shown to you, locate the Like item and press it, in order to see the list of all the names of the users who have added a like to the photo or video of the selected person.

From PC

As anticipated, it is possible to view the “likes” on Instagram received from friends or added to the posts of others by the latter also by acting from a computer, through the Instagram website or using its application for Windows 10 . Furthermore, by acting on these platforms, it is also possible to know the number of likes that other users have received.

If you want to see the “likes” on Instagram that your friend has received on his posts, the first step you must take is, therefore, to log into your Instagram account from a browser or application.

Then, go to your friend’s profile, locate the post of your interest and place the mouse cursor over it, to see the number of “likes”. Alternatively, click on the post in question, and locate the item Likes to : next to it you will find the number of users who have added “like” and, by clicking on the number, you will be able to see the names of the users who have liked it . Easy, right?
