Everyone surfs the Net with the device they find most comfortable, based on the situation: here, then, that right now you could be sitting in front of your PC and wondering how to publish GIFs on Facebook from your computer ? I’ll explain immediately how to do it from your personal profile, from your Facebook page, if you manage one, or how to insert a GIF in a comment under the post of some of your friends.
As GIFs have gained tremendous popularity in recent years, you may also be interested in creating short animations from photos yourself, rather than selecting them from a third-party service – if so, read my GIF program guide and search for a way to upload them online, also reading my guide on how to host an image .
Upload GIFs to Facebook profile
You usually spend your free time on social networks using these services from your PC: therefore, the most immediate thing you are interested in knowing is precisely how to upload GIFs to your Facebook profile .
If that’s the case, follow me through these steps: first open your favorite browser and connect to the official Facebook page , then log in to your personal account. If you don’t have one, instead, read my guide on how to create a Facebook account .
Once inside the screen of your personal profile, go to the status update box, the one where you read the sentence What are you thinking …? , click on it and, on the next screen, go to the area called Add to your post and click on the three dots icon ( More ), then, in the dialog box that appears, once again click on the word GIF and in the box called Choose a GIF , type a word that recalls the type of animation you would like to publish (for example, write the word car ) and select the GIF you like best from those proposed by the system, then press the Publish button. Easier than that ?!
This system is a facility introduced by Facebook: in the past to add a GIF to a status, from any device, you had to copy the link of the same from a dedicated service, such as GIPHY , and paste it in the area What are you thinking …? . If you wish, you can still use this method: a little tip, when you copy the link of the GIF, wait a few moments for it to load and, the moment you see the preview, delete the link itself, don’t worry the animation will remain, indeed its visualization will be better.
Alternatively, take advantage of the possibility that many services offer within which to find GIFs to share animations directly in the News section of Facebook, or in other areas.
