Preliminary information
Before going into the details of the procedure on how to play BedWars on Minecraft PE, I think it may interest you to know more about this mode.
Well, it is one of the most popular minigames among fans of the Mojang title. It is particularly popular due to its variety, as users can also purchase items in the game, in order to power up and be able to defeat opponents.
The main focus of the BedWars is the destruction of the opposing team‘s bed. In fact, the entire gaming experience rests on this basis. There are different types of BedWars, but usually the 2 teams are on 2 separate islands and have to try to reach the enemy floating island to destroy the bed.
However, at the start of the game there is no connection between the 2 islands. The first objective of the players is, therefore, to be able to build a passage to the opponent’s island, using the classic building blocks of Minecraft. Typically, the latter can be purchased from the merchant on your team’s island.
About the shop: in order to buy the objects present in the latter, which usually range from swords to building blocks through armor and much more, it is necessary for the user to collect the materials present within the map. As there is no “general rule” regarding which objects to use in the BedWars, this could vary, but generally various types of ingots are used, which “come out” from the relative generators.
To give you a concrete example, you may need to collect a certain number of copper ingots that have been “spawned” near your character’s spawn location and use them in the shop to purchase building blocks, which are used to reach the enemy island. Obviously, you have to be careful not to fall while walking through the building of blocks you are creating: if you fall, you will probably lose all the items in your inventory, including those you bought in the shop.
In any case, the BedWars are a mode created by the user and the rules are therefore dictated by the community, so much so that the creators of the server could decide to change the way these games are managed at any moment. In short, to be able to play BedWars, you have to find a server in which this mode is provided and look for the virtual room that uses the rules that are able to make you enjoy the most.
How to access the BedWars in Minecraft PE
One of the most common “mistakes” made by novice Minecraft users is thinking that you just need to enter any server to be able to play BedWars. Actually, as mentioned in the introductory chapter of this tutorial, you need to look for a virtual room that has this mode available. It is also not certain that a server that guaranteed this possibility long ago still has the BedWars active.
In short, the first thing you need to do is find a virtual room used for this mode. In this regard, I suggest you take a look at the TopG website, where the servers related to the BedWars currently available for the mobile version of Minecraft are collected (which is actually no longer called “Minecraft PE”, but only “Minecraft “).
Please note that we are talking about community-made content, so there may be variations from moment to moment. In any case, I advise you to consider the servers that also have the port number (eg 19132), since to access the virtual room it is necessary to enter it.
Do not take the instructions regarding the modalities as entirely true, as the creators of the server may have made changes recently and the site may not have been updated. Also, I remind you that the ability to access the servers in the Bedrock version of Minecraft, which is also available for mobile devices, is currently in an experimental phase (as also written by the developers on the official Minecraft website, in English): this means that this feature may not work as it should or be temporarily unavailable.
Having said that, it’s time to see how to get into a server on Minecraft for mobile devices. Well, once Minecraft is open, just press the Play button and move to the Server tab, present at the top right. If the servers are active, you should see that you can tap the Add Server button.
At this point, type in the address and the name of the server (eg rushnation.net and RushNation ) and press the Play button, in order to enter the virtual room. In some cases, you may also need to change the port, but usually it’s 19132. The server will later be made available in the main menu.
How to play BedWars in Minecraft PE
After explaining how to access a server in Minecraft, I’d say you can go ahead and see how BedWars are usually handled in servers. To give you a concrete example, I’ll take a look at the RushNation server, whose login I gave you in the previous chapter.
Once entered the server, you must use the compass that the character already has in his hand at the time of spawn and press the BedWars button. In this way, your “alter ego” will be transported directly to the area where you can access this mode.
After that, you need to take a look at the walls and see what matches are available. There are various types of BedWars. For example, you will find 1v1 or 4v4, just to give you some examples. The number of players who have logged into the game is listed in the box provided.
My advice is to start playing together with more players, in team matches. In fact, seeing how your companions behave can be very useful for you to learn the game mechanics. In any case, to enter the game you just need to press on the appropriate sign.
Once inside, the first thing I recommend you to do is position yourself on top of the bullion generator and take as many as possible. After that, you will have to go to the shop and buy the building blocks, in order to help your companions make a way to the opposing island. Don’t forget to take some weapons too, as they may come in handy.
Surely you will need more games to familiarize yourself with the mode; also remember that you can press on the cartoon icon at the top and write in chat (in English) to get help. Maybe someone is willing to explain how the basic mechanics work.
Obviously, the indications I have given you are based on the RushNation server, but may vary depending on the updates and the virtual room you have chosen. In general, therefore, it is good to spend time looking for the right server and be guided by the indications of the creators and the community.
I can assure you that, after several games and login to that virtual room, you will finally understand the mechanics of that particular server and have fun. In short, each Minecraft virtual room is an experience in itself and the only way you can “live it” as it should be is to return often letting yourself be carried away by the creations of the community and following the rules decided by the creators.
Finally, since you are interested in the title of Mojang, I suggest you take a look at the page of my site dedicated to Minecraft, where you can find countless guides that could be for you. In particular, I recommend that you check out my tutorial on how to play BedWars on Minecraft for PC, in which I delved further into this game mode, and my guide on how to log into Minecraft servers, which may come in handy in those servers in which a registration is required (not the case with RushNation).
Perfect, now you have all the necessary information to be able to play BedWars on Minecraft for mobile devices. I just have to wish you a lot of fun!
