How to make a reel on Instagram

From the moment you wonder how to make a reel on Instagram, I want to first explain how to use the social network’s Reels feature, which as you probably already know is only available in the Instagram app for mobile devices.

To get started, then, start the Instagram app on your Android device or your iPhone and log in to your account if necessary. Then, press on the (+) button located at the top and tap on the Reel item, to access the editor of the instrument in question.

At this point, first of all, set the duration of the movie, by pressing the 30 or 60 button, to record a video of a maximum duration of 30 seconds or a maximum of 60 seconds respectively.

Once this is done, press on the round button located in the center, to record a video on the spot, or press the icon of the multimedia gallery located at the bottom, to import the movie through the Gallery of your smartphone or tablet.

Other functions that may be useful to you are those accessible through the icon in the shape of a musical note, which allows you to add a background music track, the 1 × button , which is used to adjust the playback speed of the movie, but also the icon in the shape of a spark, which allows you to set filters in real time. The wand- shaped icon, on the other hand, allows you to make aesthetic adjustments to the movie. Finally, the stopwatch icon is used to set the duration of the movie and the countdown before recording.

Among the most interesting possibilities of the Instagram Reels tool there is also the possibility of recording a video on the spot, combining multiple segments of the same, so that you can only redo a part of the video, in case of errors.

In fact, after having recorded a part of the video, if you press the arrow icon to the left, you can review the clip you have just recorded and possibly cut or delete it, by pressing, respectively, on the scissors icon or on the trash can.

If, on the other hand, you are satisfied with the clip made, continue recording the video by pressing the round button located in the center again. Finally, when finished creating the video, click on the Preview button.

Once this is done, apply any other changes to the movie, for example by adding overlays (the Aa key ) or recording a voiceover (the microphone icon ). Then, press the Next button, write a caption to accompany the video made, move the lever corresponding to the word Share also in the Feed to an ON, if you want to publish the video in question also in the Feed section of your Instagram profile and, finally, click on the Share button to post it.

How to make Reel on Instagram with photos

Using Instagram’s Reels feature, you can make Reels using photos instead of videos. Again, to get started, all you have to do is log into your account via the Instagram app installed on your smartphone or tablet, in order to start the editor of the tool in question.

Having done this, after setting the duration of the movie ( 30 or 60 seconds) and eventually having customized the creation of the Reel through the other tools I told you about in the previous chapter (such as the timer or the addition of filters ), press the icon in the shape of a media gallery, to import photos from your device’s default gallery. Then select the photos to import and press the Add button to insert them.

At the end of the addition, press the Preview button, to see the preview of the Reel, apply, if you wish, any changes such as written overlay ( Aa ) or background music (the icon in the shape of a musical note ) and press on the Next button to continue.

Finally, to publish the video created, write a caption, using the appropriate text field, choose whether to share the video in the Feed and then press the Share button. The game is done!
