How to fix PUBG network error?

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a Massively Multiplayer Online Battle Royale game developed by PUBG Corporation. Before the official release was released, the game worked for several months in the early stages of access and beta testing. During this time, she gained record popularity. However, there have been a lot of reports about the detected network latency. Now the official version has come out, and yet the complaints remain. They include the nasty Network Lag Detected error.

Solution

The studio is working hard on an update where they promise fans to fix the network issues. But development will take some time, and while there are many workarounds, they are described below:

Lost connection to server

The most common reason for this is the Windows firewall. The solution is to disable it.

  • We write in the search for “firewall”.
  • We open.
  • We carry out the shutdown actions (as in the screenshot).

Failed to initialize Steam

In this situation, you will have to check the compatibility of the startup files. This is done like this:

  • Find TslGame_BE.exe in the directory;

Example:

  • In the properties select the compatibility mode with Windows Vista;
  • Click Apply.

Lags in the game

Note: relevant for any Steam game. It is important to check for anomalies in the incentive:

  • Open Steam;
  • Find PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in the library;
  • In properties click on local files;
  • Click “check integrity”.

Additionally we advise:

  • Check if your version of Windows is up to date;
  • Run PUBG with low graphics settings;
  • Limit applications in the background;
  • Run the program through admin rights;
  • Check if your NVIDIA and AMD drivers are up to date.

Optimize your router

Since all routers are different, visit your manufacturer’s official website and see how to enable UPnP port forwarding. Follow the instructions on the website.

Heavy load on PUBG servers

Due to their immense popularity, from time to time, the servers are overcrowded with players, which leads to loss of connection and lag. Switch ports for comfortable gaming. Find the game in the incentive -> RMB -> “Properties” -> on the first tab “Set launch parameters”.

Note: the caption in the screenshot is a custom setting (-refresh 144-maxMem = 13000-malloc = system-USEALLAVAILABLECORES-sm4), we strongly recommend that you troubleshoot all problems before increasing your FPS and changing other settings. Use the following launch parameter settings:

ipconfig / release ipconfig / renew netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ip reset reset.log

If the ping is still high

Servers that are not connected to may be faulty. Therefore, you will have to switch to a reliable VPN. Search the internet for a VPN for gamers and connect through it.
