Install Steam on Windows

Garry’s Mod can be purchased directly from Steam , the main digital video game store for PC, obviously available for free also for Windows.

To download the Steam client, you need to connect to the official website of the platform and select the item Install Steam , present at the top right. At this point, you need to click on the green Install Steam Now button in order to start downloading the program.

Once the download is complete, open the SteamSetup.exe file obtained and click first on Yes and then on Next . Now, check the box to accept the license agreement , press the Next button twice in a row and click Install . Great, now you just have to press the Finish button and wait for Steam to finish downloading some files necessary for the first start of its client.

Once this is done, you have to click on the item Log in to an existing account , if you already have a Steam account, or on the item Create a new account , to create a new account. In the latter case, enter the e-mail address and the confirmation of the e-mail address and check the boxes I am not a robot and I accept, and I declare that I am at least 13 years old . Then, click on Continue and select the item I am 14 or older  to confirm your age.

Download GMod

Now that you’ve installed and configured Steam, I’d say you’re ready to download GMod to your computer.

To proceed, open Steam , select the item Shop  and search for “garry’s mod” in the search field, located at the top right, then press Enter to view the results. In case you can’t find the game, I suggest you connect directly to the official GMod page on Steam (accepting the opening of the client).

Once this is done, click on the Add to cart item , choose the Purchase for me option from the page that opens and select a payment method between PayPal, credit / prepaid card and Paysafecard from the drop-down menu Choose a payment method . Then, select the Continue item and confirm the purchase of the game by following the instructions on the screen.

Once the purchase is complete, you will be able to access Garry’s Mod by selecting the Steam Library item (above). At this point, to download the Valve title and play it, select Garry’s Mod from the left sidebar and click first on the Install button and then on Next .

How to download GMod on Mac

Install Steam on Mac

To install Garry’s Mod on Mac, you need to go to Steam , which is the most famous digital video game store for computers.

How to download GMod on Android

The official version of Garry’s Mod is unfortunately not available for Android and I therefore invite you not to listen to those who promise you to download this title for free on your smartphone. However, there are several free alternatives to Garry’s Mod for the green robot system: below is a list of the best ones.

• Ultimate Sandbox: The most downloaded Garry’s Mod alternative on Android. It is a sandbox video game where you can build and destroy anything. There is no lack of online multiplayer, with the possibility of creating servers.
• Sandbox Mod: Another very popular game similar to Garry’s Mod, but with a third person view. There aren’t many items, but the developers are continuing to update the game.
