How to download Fraps

I assure you that you will not have to do anything particularly complicated and I am also sure that in the end you will be ready to say loudly that downloading Fraps was actually a real breeze.
Before explaining what you need to do to download Fraps, however, there is one very important thing you need to know. Fraps is a commercial program that is sold at a price of 34.95 euros and can therefore be downloaded and used only after paying the developer the amount of money in question. Before proceeding with the purchase of the program, however, it is possible to download Fraps on your computer in a trial version which is totally freebut including some restrictions including the ability to record gameplay of up to 30 seconds and the presence of a watermark on each movie made. Choosing whether to use the paid or free version of the program therefore depends solely and exclusively on you, based on your preferences and needs. Personally, I suggest first of all to download Fraps in a free version, to evaluate its functioning and, if you consider the software suitable, to proceed with the purchase of the same.
Download Fraps (free trial version)
If you want to find out what are the steps that must be taken to be able to download Fraps in the free version, the first step you need to take is to click here so that you can immediately connect to the official software download web page. Then click on the Download Fraps 3.5.99 Setup (2.2 MB) link and wait for the program download to start and complete. If you have not changed the settings of the web browser you used when the download is complete, you should find the Fraps installation file in the folder on your computer called Download .
Now that you have downloaded Fraps on your PC, proceed to start the setup file you just obtained in order to start the software installation procedure. Then press on Yes and then on the I Agree button, then click on Next and then press the Install button . Finally click on the Close button .
Now that you have completed the installation procedure, start Fraps by double clicking on its icon that has been added to the desktop or by pressing the Start button , typing Fraps in the search field that is shown to you and then clicking on the first result in the list . Then click on the Yes button and then wait for the Fraps window to be visible on the screen.
At this point you can finally start making the recordings of your gaming sessions on your computer by starting the video game you prefer, minimizing the program window (please do not close Fraps otherwise no recording will be performed) and pressing the F9 key present on the keyboard.
Subsequently, to discover and / or modify the folder in which Fraps archived when the game session was recorded, to modify the command used to start and stop gameplay recording and to make further changes to the functioning of Fraps, bring the program window and use the settings attached to the General , FPS , Movies and Screenshots tabs according to your needs. If you do not have special needs or if you do not know where to put your hands I suggest you do not make changes to the program settings and leave everything as it is.
Download Fraps (commercial version)
If, on the other hand, you are interested in understanding what you need to do to be able to download Fraps in the paid version and therefore free from all sorts of limitations, proceed as follows. To begin with, click here so that you can immediately connect to the official web page to make the purchase of the software and then click on the Buy Fraps Now button ! which is located at the bottom and wait for the Web page through which to purchase the program is visible on the screen.
Keep in mind that at the moment it is possible to buy Fraps only and exclusively through Paypal or using a credit card. So, if you already have a PayPal account or a credit card you can proceed by filling in the fields that are shown on the screen providing all the required information while if you do not have a Paypal account but still want to use the latter as a method of payment you must first follow the instructions in my guide on how to create a PayPal account .
After providing all the information requested in the online form to make the Fraps payment via PayPal, presses the Buy button located at the bottom, wait a few moments for the payment procedure to be started and validated, then make sure that a warning appears on the screen indicating that the payment procedure was successful.
Once this is done, access the e-mail address referring to the e-mail address you entered in the form to make the purchase of Fraps and press the e-mail message that was sent to you by the program team. Inside the message you will find the software purchase license and the instructions to follow to download Fraps in the paid version.
Keep in mind that if you have previously downloaded Fraps in a free version on your computer, you can speed up the execution of the procedure I have just indicated by starting the program on the desktop and pressing the green button Support Fraps and register today attached to the General tab . Then you will be shown the web page through which to purchase the paid version of the software.
After purchasing Fraps, you can start recording your gaming sessions on your computer without any limitations by starting the program and video game you prefer, minimizing the Fraps window and pressing the F9 key on the keyboard.
