You have bought an LG Smart TV and, finally, you are the proud owner of a latest generation TV. You just have to learn how to make the most of it, taking advantage of its functions related to the Internet and, more specifically, to the apps to be installed. On the other hand, the possibility of downloading apps is very useful, since it allows you to take advantage of contents which, usually, can only be accessed from computers or mobile devices.

So here I am, ready to explain how to download apps on LG Smart TVs . Over the next few lines I will explain, step by step, how to connect your LG Smart TV to the Internet and how to install new apps using the TV’s virtual store, called LG Content Store. I assure you it’s very simple.

How to download applications on LG Smart TV

Since you want to know how to download apps on LG Smart TV , the first thing you need to do is connect the TV to the Internet, then go to the device store and install your favorite applications. Here are all the details.

Connect the LG Smart TV to the Internet

As anticipated, to download apps on LG Smart TVs, the first thing you need to do is make sure you have correctly connected the TV to the Internet.

To do this, turn on the TV by pressing the power button (the symbol of a red switch ) which is located on the remote control. Once this is done, press the gear button on the remote control to open the settings menu.

By doing so, an overlay menu will be shown on the screen: then press the icon (…) located at the bottom right and, in the screen that is shown to you, press on the Network item .

Once the connection is successful you will see, in the Smart TV Network settings , the word Connected in correspondence with the Wi-Fi Connection menu item .

If, on the other hand, you want to connect the Smart TV through a wired connection (recommended, as it is less subject to interference), you must have an Ethernet cable .

To connect to the Internet in this case, all you need to do is connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the router that was provided to you by your Internet service provider and bring the other end of the cable to the Smart TV, hooking it to the Ethernet port of the same.

In this case, once connected to the Internet, you will see the word Connected in correspondence with the Wired connection (Ethernet) item in the Network settings menu of the Smart TV, confirming that the Internet has been accessed.

Download applications

After connecting the Smart TV to the Internet, you can download applications from the LG Smart TV digital store, called LG Content Store .

Therefore, to open the LG Content Store , press the Home button on the remote control (it has the house symbol ). In this way you can view the main menu of the LG Smart TV and press the icon with the shopping bag symbol , to start the LG Content Store .

Once this is done, on the main screen of the LG virtual store you can immediately identify some applications to download. Furthermore, if you wish, you can scroll the additional screens of the store using the directional arrows on the remote control.

To locate the applications to download you can also use some icons located on the home screen, such as the icon with the symbol of a P or the one with the symbol of a controller, both of which are used to display a list of popular apps and games among the most popular ones. downloaded. Of course, you can also rely on the magnifying glass symbol , in order to use the search engine, to search for a specific app by typing its name.

Have you identified an application that interests you and would like to know how to install it? In this case, click on it using the central button of the remote control and, to install it, press the Installation button that you will see on the screen. This will automatically start the installation of the app and, at the end of the same, you can start it by pressing the Start button .
