How to create avatar on Instagram

Before explaining how to create avatar on Instagram I must let you know that this feature, which allows you to create your own virtual alter ego to use in stories or to share in private messages in the form of a sticker, is currently usable only from smartphones , via the Instagram app for Android (also downloadable from alternative stores ) and iOS .

Therefore, to get started, launch the social network app and log into your account if necessary. Once this is done, go to your profile section and press the ☰ icon at the top right. Now, press First on the Settings> Account items and then press the word Avatar , to start creating your avatar.

Once this is done, press the Start button and start creating the avatar by customizing it in all its aesthetic aspects: choose, for example, the color of the complexion and all the other subsequent elements that are shown to you in the various personalization tabs, such as the color of the eyes , haircut , hair color , but also the build and the outfit you want your character to wear, in order to make him as similar to you as possible.

In case, you can help with the customization by pressing on the mirror icon located in the upper right corner, in order to start the camera of your smartphone and watch you customize your virtual avatar. When you are done, click on the Finish button at the top right and then confirm the changes using the Save changes and Next buttons .

After creating your avatar, you can view it at any time via the Settings> Account> Avatar section . If you wish to modify it, however, all you have to do is select a new aesthetic personalization element, in order to overwrite the one previously applied. Finally, to confirm the changes, just press the Finish and Save changes buttons .

Finally, if you want to delete the avatar to do it again, press the trash can icon and then tap the Delete button to confirm.

How to use avatars on Instagram

Stories

You can use the avatar you created in Instagram stories , in order to personalize the content and / or text you post.

To do this, launch the social network app, log into your account if necessary, and swipe from left to right on the main screen to launch the story editor .

At this point, start creating a text or multimedia story , as you usually do and then, after creating it, press the square smiley icon located in the upper right corner to open the stickers menu . Once this is done, press on the Avatar sticker in order to view all the available stickers.

Then choose the one you prefer and place it in the story, to use it, changing its size to your liking, using pinch to zoom . Once you have made all the changes you want, when you are ready to share the story, all you have to do is press the Your Story button .

Private messages

You can use the avatar in Instagram private messages, sending it in chats , while messaging with your friends or with other users of the social network.

To do this, launch the Instagram app and log into your account if necessary. Once this is done, click on the airplane icon at the top right to open the section dedicated to private messages.

Now, press on the name of a person with whom you already had an active conversation, to view the dedicated private chat, or press the icon of the sheet and pencil at the top right, to start a new private conversation with the user, by selecting his name and pressing the Chat button .

Once this is done, to send a sticker using your Avatar , press the (+) button then tap the icon of the square face . Now, press the Avatar sticker , choose the sticker of your interest and press it to send it in the chat. Easy, right?
