Honor Magic V based on Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will start at $ 2,200
The official presentation of the Honor Magic V foldable smartphone will take place on January 10 . In anticipation of the announcement, the WHYLAB blogger unveiled the technical parameters of the device. The cost of the device was also named.
The source confirmed that the hardware circuitry of the gadget is built on the latest 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 mobile processor . In fact, it will be the world’s first foldable smartphone based on this single-chip system. The flagship will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB / 512GB of flash storage. The firmware will be used as the software platform Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12.
The smartphone will receive an internal display of 8 inches and an external display of 6.5 inches. Both panels will support 120Hz refresh rates. The developers will equip the device with two selfie cameras (each 42 MP). The main camera will receive three sensors with the same 50 MP resolution. A rather capacious 4750 mAh battery will be responsible for the power supply. Also worth mentioning is the leather back panel in brown.
Pricing for both configurations has also been unveiled. The older version of Honor Magic V with a 12GB / 512GB memory kit will cost $ 2350. The 12GB / 256GB variant is priced at $ 2,200.
