How to change the Wi-Fi name

So you’ve got a great fun Wi-Fi idea in your head. Now what?

It’s time to change the network name (also known as Service Set Identifier or SSID).

The first thing you need to know is the IP address of your router . You can easily find it by clicking Connected Network Properties . You will need what is listed next to ” IPv4 Address “.

Now enter it into your browser and you will be able to access your router’s admin page . Log in and go to the settings page .

Finally, find the current name of your router (it will be under SSID, Wireless Network Name, or just Router Name). Once you find it, enter your favorite funny Wi-Fi name. Remember to save your changes.
