Free games for Android
Have you just bought your first Android smartphone and are you looking for good games to brighten your break moments? Then I have two good news for you: the first is that I will help you find them, the second is that they are all free.
That’s right! By now there are many free games for Android available on the Google Play Store and many of these have almost nothing to envy to the paid ones. If you want some examples, please read on.
If you bought your first smartphone or tablet recently and don’t know where to find free games for Android , don’t worry, it’s very easy. All you have to do is open the Google Play Store (using the appropriate icon located on the screen with the list of all the apps installed on the device), press the Games button located at the top right and select the Free tab .
Alternatively, you can browse the list of free games available on the Play Store from your computer by connecting to this web page . To install a title on your smartphone / tablet, click on the Login button located at the top right and log in with your Gmail account data. In this way, you can send any game to your Android device (or rather, any game supported by the device) by first clicking on its name and then on the Install button .
Don’t have time to browse the Google Play Store rankings? Then let me recommend some free Android games that are definitely worth installing:
- Candy Crush Saga – now there is no smartphone in the world on which it is not installed! It is a very popular puzzle game in which you have to combine candies of the same type, creating the longest possible combos, making the most of the bonuses available in the levels and respecting the maximum number of moves allowed.
- Clash of Clans – excellent strategic game with cartoonic graphics in which you have to build a village and defend it from enemies (other users from all over the world) using cannons, towers, mortars, bombs, traps and walls.
- Subway Surfers – an endless running based on skateboarding and a very pleasant cartoon graphics in which you have to collect coins and avoid obstacles by continuously moving from one part of the game path to the other.
- Lep’s World 3 – beautiful platform inspired by Super Mario and other cornerstones of the genre starring an elf. Great graphics and quite varied gameplay.
- Shoot Bubble – a clone of the legendary Puzzle Bobble in which, of course, you have to shoot colored balls and match them with those already present in the picture.
- GT Racing 2 – one of the best Android games dedicated to car racing. It includes a fleet of 67 licensed vehicles, 13 tracks and features extremely realistic graphics. It’s free but includes paid items.
- FIFA 14 – does it need any introduction? The football simulation par excellence with 3D graphics and updated squads.
- Tetris – the puzzle-game par excellence, in a version optimized for touch-screen that manages to keep the original gameplay intact.
- True or false? – very nice game in which you have to answer a series of questions with “true” or “false”. Despite some overly simple, enjoyable questions.
- The Simpsons Springfield – a free-to-play adventure (with paid extra content) in which you have to guide members of the yellowest family in the world to complete different missions. Very funny.
- Zombie Diary – a continuous scrolling zombie themed shooter where you have to exterminate an endless horde of monsters trying to stay alive as long as possible.
- Kavinsky – a scrolling fighting game with beautiful 3D graphics and a great soundtrack. It lacks a bit in longevity, but to be free it’s great.
- Temple Run 2 – the endless running par excellence, in which you have to guide your characters along a path full of obstacles by physically moving the smartphone to the right, to the left or by jumping (by swiping upwards).
- Rivals at War: 2084 – a tactical shooter set in the future with beautiful 3D graphics and space settings.
- Forza 4 – digital version of the historic board game. You can play with a friend or against the CPU.

- Death Shooter 3D – as the name suggests, is a fantastic 3D graphics shooter.
- Avengers Alliance – action title dedicated to Marvel superheroes with dozens of different characters and scenarios.
- World Series of Poker – one of the best poker titles available on Android. It supports online multiplayer and works with a system of points that can be accumulated during matches.
