Bug Fix: “PDF Virtual Print Not Working” Windows 10
Windows 10 comes with a print to PDF feature. With its help, users can print JPG, Word, etc. files. In this article, we will answer the question of what to do when a virtual printer is difficult to work with.
Disable Print to PDF and enable it again
- Press win + S, write “enable or disable windows components”.
- From “Microsoft Print to PDF” uncheck the box, save.
- Reboot your PC. After rebooting, repeat the steps above, but turn on Microsoft PDF.
The print function is ready to use.
Don’t use commas in folder path file name
Avoid using commas or other special characters in the document name and throughout the file path.
Set Microsoft Print to PDF as your default printer
- Find “Devices and Printers” in the “Start” menu.
- RMB click on pdf device -> “Use as default”.
Uninstall Microsoft Print to PDF and reinstall the driver
for further work, repeat some of the steps from the previous paragraph.
- Open Devices and Printers. Right click “Microsoft PDF Printer” -> “Remove device”, confirm action.
- Right click on the free space, select “Add devices and printers”.
- Click “Not Listed”.
- In the dropdown menu local port -> Next.
- Select microsoft -> microsoft pdf.
- Select to reinstall the current driver.
- Enter the device name and wait for Windows to complete the installation.
