Design and ergonomics
The Xiaomi Mijia Electric Precision Screwdriver Kit is distinguished by high-quality materials and the manufacturer’s special attention to ease of use.
The storage case is made of durable plastic with a magnetic part, where a screwdriver and a set of bits are stored – when turning over, nothing will fall out of the case, even if you make an effort and shake it. It also has a latch that prevents the case from opening on its own.
The body of the screwdriver is made of aluminum, and all internal parts are made of metal. The screwdriver itself is quite light, does not slip, it is convenient to hold it in your hand with any girth. Available for management:
- Two mechanical buttons on the case for unscrewing and tightening.
- Regulator for changing modes at the base of the screwdriver: switching between two modes of different power, and between them there is a button to turn off the screwdriver so that it does not accidentally turn on, for example, in your pocket.
On the bottom is a charging connector, as well as a light indicator. It lights up red when the screwdriver is charging and white when the charge is full.
The bit set consists of 24 different bits: 6 long bits (most commonly used) 45 mm and 18 bits 28 mm long. On the basis of each is its name, and on the case – a designation in the form of a picture. All bits are made of S2 steel, which ensures their increased hardness and strength.
The bits themselves are firmly held in the screwdriver and do not fall out, however, during rotation, a slight backlash is noticeable, which does not affect the operation of the device in any way.
Peculiarities
The Xiaomi Mijia screwdriver has an automatic lock function if the device “cannot cope” with unscrewing any screw. In this case, the rotation stops completely until the unscrew button is pressed again. This feature avoids damage to the internal mechanism and motor.
Unfortunately, there is no built-in light in the screwdriver, which can make it more difficult to work without the right external lighting.
Offline work
It will take approximately 2.5-3 hours to fully charge the screwdriver. At the same time, it is enough for unscrewing / tightening 400 screws. With occasional work with the tool, this will last more than a few months.
