Xiaomi introduced the flagship smartphone Mix Fold 2

Today, August 11, Xiaomi held a presentation of its new foldable smartphone. This is a flagship device called Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, made in the form factor of a book.

The novelty is equipped with a 120Hz LTPO 2.0 OLED screen that folds into the body. Thanks to this, the screen is protected from damage. The panel measures 8.02 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2160 x 1914 pixels. Reported support for Dolby Vision. Thus, when unfolded, the smartphone (5.4 mm thick) turns into a small tablet. The gadget weighs 263 grams.

When the phone is folded, it resembles a regular smartphone (11.2mm thick). On the front panel, there is a 6.56-inch E5 AMOLED secondary screen with Full HD+ resolution and HDR10+ support. The image refresh rate is 120 Hz. The display is protected by durable Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The selfie camera of the smartphone received a 20 MP module.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 hardware platform is based on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The size of LPDDR5 RAM is 12 GB, the capacity of the built-in UFS 3.1 flash drive is 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB. The smartphone is running MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

For the photo capabilities of the Xiaomi foldable smartphone, a three-component camera with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor (OIS), a 13 MP sensor (ultra wide-angle lens) and an 8 MP module with 2x optical zoom is responsible. LEICA specialists took part in the work on the camera.

Also worth noting is the presence of a high-quality Harman Kardon audio system and a 4500 mAh battery with support for fast 67-W charging.

The cost of the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold smartphone in the 12 GB / 256 GB modification is $ 1,335; the 12GB/512GB version is priced at $1,483; top edition (12 GB / 1 TB) – $ 1,780.
