The most difficult bosses in video games

Bosses are powerful enemies that are found in almost every computer game that has battles. As a rule, they are much stronger than standard enemies, and still need to get to them. That is, this meeting is quite welcome, we have been waiting for the moment of battle for a long time, and after the victory we get incredible sensations. However, there are bosses that are very strong, and you can’t just defeat them on the first try. It is these bosses that we will consider. It should be understood that we are talking about a high level of difficulty, so if you play at the “Beginner” level, you will not get any sensations.

God Of War – Valkyrie Queen

A very difficult boss is found in the console-exclusive God Of War. We are talking about the queen of the Valkyries, which is not so easy to reach, and if you do, at a high level of difficulty, not everyone will be able to defeat her from the first attempts.

This boss is optional. She does not need to be killed to advance further along the storyline. If you do not want this, you can simply go further, but if you decide, you will have to perform a series of actions to reach her, and spend your nerves to defeat her in battle.

First of all, to get to the queen, you need to defeat 8 more bosses. These are the standard Valkyries that are distributed throughout the God Of War game world. It is already difficult to defeat them, they have unique battle tactics, each has its own unique attacks. The queen herself uses her unique abilities, as well as all the powerful attacks of 8 standard Valkyries.

To kill the queen of the Valkyries, you need to learn the timings by heart, as well as all of her attacks. Control Atreus – the son of the God of War, and of Kratos himself. In general, the fight will be very difficult, and even good equipment in this case may not help.

Cuphead – Devil

But this boss is a must. Cuphead is famous for its difficulty, even simple enemies in this game are incredibly strong, and if you don’t play well, you won’t reach the Devil.

If you still reach this enemy, you will have to try to defeat him, because this is the final boss of the game. The most basic feature of this boss is its unpredictability. If you could defeat past enemies simply by learning the timings and his attacks, then with the Devil it will not work.

You never know what to expect from him, what trick he will perform, what attack he uses – only random works in his actions, so an incredible reaction is needed to defeat him. He has the ability to transform into different creatures, which is why the number of his attacks becomes even more, and it is very difficult to learn them all.

And everything is not limited to one phase, because if you defeat him once, the second phase of the battle will begin, where the Devil will become much stronger, learn new tricks, and simply destroy you. If you defeated this boss, you can be proud of yourself.

Dark Souls 3 – Midir the Dark Eater

The Dark Souls series is renowned for being hardcore. Not every player is ready to withstand the bullying that awaits him in Dark Souls. Generally, however, DLC bosses are much more difficult than the original game bosses, and Midir is no exception.

Midir is a huge dragon that we encounter in the DLC. As a rule, by that time the character is well pumped, and many hope that a large amount of damage and health will help them defeat this dragon. But this is not the case.

We collide with Midir at a huge location. If you get too close to him, he will use completely different blows, from which he cannot hide with a shield or somersaults. If you go too far, consider yourself dead, because some of his attacks kill with one hit, even if you have pumped your character’s health to the maximum.

Dark Souls players know that dragons there are vulnerable to lightning. However, here, too, not everything is so simple, because even to lightning, Midir has enormous resistance. It is almost impossible to complete this boss the first time, and many spend dozens of attempts to finally master it. If you want to test your skills, Midir is waiting for you.

Bloodborne – Orphan Scythe

Alas, not everyone was able to fight against this boss, because Bloodborne is a console exclusive. However, the developers are kind of planning a port to personal computers, so soon everyone will be able to experience the full power of this boss.

When you first look at Orphan Kos, you don’t get the impression that he is strong. It seems that he can be defeated on the first try, but this is far from the case. It’s not that he has good defenses, a lot of health, or something like that. It’s about his attacks.

He attacks so quickly and mercilessly that you hardly have time to inflict even one blow on him, and stamina quickly runs out. In Bloodborne, in contrast to Dark Souls, you cannot normally pump up defense, there are no normal shields in this game, so the main way of dodging damage is somersaults, and in the arena of the battle with Orphan Scythe you will have to spend all your stamina on dodging, to such the degree that there will be no strength left to make one single blow.

His attacks are difficult to remember, he is very dexterous, so in battle with him, exercise tolerance and maximum caution, because she is the only mistake that will lead to death.

Dark Souls 2 – The Smoke Knight

The last boss in our collection is the Smoke Knight, and again from the Dark Souls series, from the second part. We meet this boss when the character is more or less pumped, but it still doesn’t really save.

The attacks of this boss in the initial phase are quite predictable, they can be easily dodged. However, if you missed at least one hit, there is a high probability that you will not survive this battle, especially if you are not playing as a knight, but as some kind of robber without a shield.

The main difficulty begins when you realize that the statues in the arena are healing the Smoke Knight. You will not be able to inflict enough damage to interrupt the regeneration, so you must first break the statues, and during this time the knight will do everything to kill you. If you still succeed, you can defeat the knight in the first phase.

But that’s not all. The second phase of the battle begins, where the Smoke Knight becomes an incredibly powerful enemy. At the beginning of the second phase, the knight’s sword lights up, it does an incredible amount of damage, and here only somersaults are saved – there is no point in putting blocks. However, this is not all, because it also becomes much faster. If in the first phase he could hardly touch you, then in the second he turns into a very fast and agile enemy, which is very difficult to defeat alone.
