Design and ergonomics
SuperEQ Q2 Pro are made in black. The case is made of matte plastic with a glossy stripe on the border of the body and lid. The surface is non-marking, prints do not remain on the surface. Rectangular case with rounded corners.
There is a logo on the top. On the front side there are three indicators showing the charge level of the headphones. The left and right LEDs are responsible for the corresponding headphones. The charging port is on the back.
Inside the case there is a marking for the left and right earphone, the recesses are glossy.
Due to the rounded shape, the case is convenient to carry in your pocket, it does not cling to the fabric, it is easy to open and hold the lid in the open position. When the case is turned over, the headphones do not fall out of it.
The earbuds themselves are made from the same material as the case. They are barrel-shaped with a wavy glossy transition to the touch control area. It has a golden rim along the border of the area, as well as a large letter “S” of the same shade.
The earphones are quite large, but sit comfortably without falling out when moving. With a comfortable, secure fit and IPX5 splash and jet resistance, the SuperEQ Q2 Pro can be used for sports with peace of mind.
The set includes additional ear cushions, so you can choose the most suitable for any ear shape.
Sound, connection and control
The headphones automatically turn on and go into pairing mode immediately after opening the case. To connect them, just go to the list of wireless devices in the phone settings and find the model you need. You can turn off the headphones by putting them back in the case and closing it. There is no auto pause, so the device will continue to play music unless you return them to the case.
To pair with another device, the headphones must be placed back into the case and hold the touch panel for 6 seconds. Then find the model in the list of Bluetooth devices on the second phone and select it. The SuperEQ Q2 Pro have English voice acting that notifies you of pairing and device status.
The control is completely touch, there is no application for detailed settings. There are the following types of actions:
- Single press on any earphone – pause/play.
- Single press on the right earpiece – accept the call.
- Single click on the left earpiece – hang up the call.
- Double click on the right earphone – the next track.
- Double click on the left earpiece – the previous track.
- Triple press – call the voice assistant.
- Hold any earpiece for two seconds – turn on / off the noise reduction / transparency mode, reject the call.
The headphones support Bluetooth 5.2, so there is little latency when listening. When watching a video, it is completely invisible, in games it is minimal.
There is a good margin of volume, no more than 70% is enough for comfortable listening. The sound is voluminous, the basses are clear and expressive, while not interrupting the mids and highs. The sound is balanced, the vocals in the tracks are clearly audible. For their price, the headphones show excellent sound quality, they do not cause any complaints in this regard.
Hybrid active noise cancellation has also proved to be effective. SuperEQ Q2 Pro can filter out up to 95% of external noise. When this function is enabled, extraneous sounds are practically inaudible, the headphones protect well from noise both while working indoors and when moving around the city (in transport and on the street).
The transparency mode is excellent – voices and external sounds are heard clearly, so you don’t have to take off your headphones to talk to someone.
The quality of the microphones is at a high level: in a quiet environment, the voice during calls is transmitted as clearly as possible, in the presence of external noise (strong wind, passing cars), in general, there are no problems with the conversation, except for occasional interference.
autonomy
Charged headphones together with a case provide up to 30 hours of operation. With the noise canceling mode turned on, the time is reduced to 8 hours (without a case), without ANC – up to 11 hours.
Unfortunately there is no fast charging. You can fully charge the case and headphones in 2 hours.
Results
SuperEQ Q2 Pro are inexpensive headphones with good sound quality and effective noise cancellation. The battery life is enough for the whole working day, considering recharging from the case. They are quite versatile – suitable for both sports and everyday use. Among the shortcomings, one can single out the lack of fast charging and a mobile application.
