PS4 error CE-36244-9: How to fix
Some PS4 console owners have probably encountered error CE-36244-9, which is interpreted as stopping the download due to possible corrupted data. Error CE-36244-9 is not the most pleasant one, as there is a high probability of losing the game and especially the saved data. To solve the error CE-36244-9, follow the instructions below:
Step 1: Completely restart your PlayStation 4 system and try to boot again. The download can be done via the game icon or by going to the [Notifications] menu, where you must select [Web downloads].
Step 2: If the error CE-36244-9 repeats, you need to check the settings of your Internet connection.
- change DNS server or connect via static IP address;
- if possible, use another network;
- the connection is busy and you should wait for a little, then try to download again.
Step 3: If you have changed the hard drive of the device, and the error CE-36244-9 is repeated again, then try connecting the old hard drive and reinstalling the system software.
If the hard disk is original, then reinstall the system software by selecting the following in the menu item:
[Settings] > [Initialize] > [Initialize PlayStation 4] > [Quick]
After initializing the system, reload the data by going to the “Library”.
