PS4 error CE-33986-9: How to fix
Another PS4 error code, which means there was a problem checking the Internet connection. Error CE-33986-9 is very similar to PS4 errors such as CE-33985-8, CE-33984-7, and CE-33983-6. In this case, you need to follow simple steps:
Step 1: since it is highly likely that the server is undergoing technical work or is simply overloaded, which is why error CE-33986-9 occurs. At the same time, there is no fault on the part of the user and all that remains is to wait for the full performance of the PSN server.
Step 2: If the reason is not PSN and the server is working, then check your Internet connection. Go to the [Settings] menu item, select [Network] and click the [Test Internet connection] button.
If the above methods did not help in solving error CE-33986-9, then most likely the problem lies in the settings of your router. Update its firmware to the latest version. If possible, disconnect all devices using the same network as the PS4 console. If the CE-33986-9 error persists, try changing the MTU value to 1473 in the router settings.
