Prototypes of the Google Pixel 7 series smartphones are shown in the video
In May of this year, Google published a teaser of branded smartphones Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro on its Twitter page. Later, new data about future “Googlephones” appeared on the Web, revealing some of the parameters of the gadgets. One of the insiders published “live” photos, and now a video has been posted on the Unbox Therapy YouTube channel showing prototypes of new products from different angles.
Judging by the entry, the models of the Pixel 7 series are very similar to their predecessors. In particular, the rear camera will be located on a horizontal strip that occupies the entire width of the case. As in the previous line, the basic version will receive a dual camera, the Pro version will have a block of three optical modules.
In addition, the author of the video made measurements of the dimensions of the upcoming devices. The Pixel 7 Pro version is revealed to be 8.8mm thick and 76.6mm wide. Recall that the dimensions of the Pixel 6 Pro were 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm. The thickness of the camera block for both models is 11.5 mm. And the base Pixel 7 will be narrower than its predecessor: the body width will be 73.2 mm instead of 74.9 mm.
Pre-orders for the Google Pixel 7 series smartphones are expected to open on October 6th. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will go on public sale on October 13th. Smartphones will be built on the proprietary Google Tensor 2 chipset, and Android 13 will act as the operating system.
