How to see the status of WhatsApp

How to see the WhatsApp status of my contacts

To see the WhatsApp Status of your contacts, all you need is the WhatsApp app for Android , iOS , Windows or macOS . Alternatively, from a PC you can also use WhatsApp Web directly from the browser: the choice is yours.

Android / iOS

To see the WhatsApp Status of your friends on Android or iOS , start the WhatsApp app by pressing its icon and, on the main screen, tap on the Status tab .

After that, pressing on one of the circles located at the names of your contacts and, consequently, WhatsApp will start the automatic display of updates status shared by user.

I remind you, however, that states can be viewed until they are automatically deleted, i.e. 24 hours after their publication.

While you are there, if you want to reply to a State with your photo, your video or your message, after viewing it, tap on the Reply item located at the bottom.

You can thus write a text message, using the appropriate text field or send a multimedia content, using the camera icon or the paper clip icon .

PC

Would you like to see the status of WhatsApp from a PC ? No problem: start the WhatsApp client for PC or access WhatsApp Web via browser (if this is the first time you connect, you will be asked to scan a QR code with the WhatsApp app on your smartphone ) and click on the icon state (the broken circle ) which is placed at the top, next to your profile photo.

Now, in the screen that is shown to you, click on the thumbnails of the states that your contacts have created: WhatsApp will start playing them automatically, just like it does on mobile devices.

How to see the textual status of WhatsApp

Do you want to view the WhatsApp Info , also known as Textual Status , so you can read the personalized phrase that your contacts have set? No problem, this is a very simple operation to complete and you can do it both from Android and iOS , and from a PC .

All you have to do is locate the contact whose textual Status you want to know and tap (or click) on his name to open the chat relating to the chosen contact.

At this point, tap (or click) again on the name of the selected contact and, as if by “magic”, you will be able to view his Info : did you see how simple it was?

How to see WhatsApp status without being seen

Are you wondering if it is possible to see the status of WhatsApp anonymously , that is, without being seen ? If so, you’ll be happy to know that you can do this by putting in place a simple procedure for disabling read receipts .

This option, in fact, will allow you to see the States of WhatsApp not want others to know that you have seen them and also ‘ll turn off the blue check , we need to let others know you’ve read their messages.

However, it should be noted that this option has a reciprocity constraint and, therefore, until this functionality is deactivated, you will not be able to know who is viewing your statuses and who has read your messages. Also, by re-enabling the read receipts, it will appear that you have viewed the status of the user seen previously.

Without the necessary prerequisites, if you intend to proceed on Android and iOS went in the menu Settings> Account> Privacy of WhatsApp and move to OFF lever located On for the Read Receipts .

On the PC , however, disable read receipts by removing the check mark icon corresponding to the wording of the same name, visible in the Settings> Privacy menu of the client or WhatsApp Web.

At this point, all you have to do is view the status of the user of your interest, by pressing on the Status tab and then on the preview image of the multimedia content, as explained in the previous chapter .

How to see the WhatsApp status of whoever blocked you

You have found out that a friend of yours has you stuck on WhatsApp , but despite this, would like to know if there is a way to see his state ? In this case, I must unfortunately let you know that it is not possible to succeed in this intent: in the event of a block, in fact, in addition to having prevented you from sending messages to the user who applied the limitation against you, you will not be able to not even see his state , until the blockade is lifted.

Therefore, in order to be able to see his state, you need to be unblocked in the instant messaging service. In this regard, you should know that this procedure can be implemented on Android and iOS , through the menu Settings> Account> Privacy> Blocked contacts . In fact, just press on the name of the blocked contact and confirm the release, using the Unblock key .

From a PC , however, this is done via the Settings> Privacy> Blocked contacts menu . Again, after clicking on the user to be unlocked, you simply need to press the Unlock button to confirm the unlock.
