How to save a web page as PDF

PDF is the most widely supported format on a variety of platforms, from desktop computers to mobile devices. For this reason, people like to store their documents in PDF format so that it is easier to view them later on any device and without an internet connection.

By the way, website pages only exist on the Internet. But it can be saved on your computer as PDF.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to download a PDF webpage using a modern browser like  Google Chrome  – no extensions or third-party tools required.

1. Open the web page you want to save as PDF. For example, I am using  this Wikipedia article .

2. Click the Chrome menu icon and select Print . You can also use the  keyboard  shortcut  Ctrl + P.

3. In the ” Destination ” section , select ” Save as PDF “.

4. And then adjust the document setting.

5. If everything is in order, click “ Save ”.

6. Select a directory for downloading PDFs and click Save .

7. The web page is now downloaded in PDF format.

8. You can open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader or a regular browser.

The PDF support in Google Chrome is a very useful but underrated feature. It’s technically just a PDF viewer, but you can use it to  separate certain pages from the rest of the document .

If you like storing PDF documents locally, be sure to  compress them to reduce their size  and save valuable disk space for free.
