How to overlay two photos on Instagram stories
If you wonder how to overlay two photos on Instagram, let me first explain how to proceed through the native functionality of the well-known photo social network that allows you to overlay two photos in stories.
To start, start the Instagram app you downloaded on Android from the Play Store or from alternative stores or on iOS / iPadOS from the App Store, then log in to your account if necessary.
Now, swipe left to open the Instagram camera and start creating a story. Then take a photo on the spot or import it from your device’s gallery, using the appropriate icon located in the lower left corner.
Once this is done, press the square emoticon icon to open the sticker menu and select the one with the icon in the shape of a media gallery. At this point, add the photo to be superimposed and adjust its size and position using the pinch to zoom (ie “pinching” the screen).
Finally, when you are ready to publish the story, click on the Your Story button located at the bottom, in order to publish it in the Instagram stories as you usually do.

Adobe Spark (Android / iOS / iPadOS)
To superimpose two photos to be published on Instagram in posts, I suggest you use the free Adobe Spark app which is very useful for creating digital graphics which can be created through predefined templates or manually, giving space to your creativity.
Adobe Spark is a free app but that allows you to access some additional paid content, through the subscription of a subscription at a cost of € 10.49 per month or € 104.99 per year. The app also applies a watermark to the exported content; however, as I will explain later, you can remove it for free every time before exporting a content.
Having said that, after downloading the app in question on Android (you can find it on the Play Store and on alternative stores ) or on iOS / iPadOS (you can find it on the App Store ), the first thing you need to do is register for free via the Register for Free button located on the main screen. Alternatively, create an account quickly using the buttons related to Google, Facebook and Apple accounts.
At this point, in the main Adobe Spark screen, start creating the photographic college using one of the templates that are shown to you, or press the (+) button to create a new blank project. The base can be solid color or it can include a photo chosen from the device Gallery ( Photo Library ). The important thing is to select the type Social Post> Instagram, which is the one relating to the creation of a graphic of the right size to be published in Instagram posts.
Once this is done, to add two or more photos to overlap, use the Add function, pressing the Add> Images> Photo Library buttons. Then select the photos to add and press the Add button. Finally, tap on the item Move freely, so you can resize and overlap them using the pinch to zoom.
After adding the images, complete the creation of the graphics, using the other Adobe Spark features accessible through the Colors buttons (allows you to change the colors of the graphics), Animations (allows you to add animations), Layout (allows you to change the layout) and Resize (used to change the size of the project). Before exporting the graphic project, click on the watermark at the bottom and remove it, by tapping on the item Remove watermark from this project.
Finally, to export the project to Android, press the down arrow icon located in the upper right corner. On iOS / iPadOS, on the other hand, you can achieve the same goal by first pressing the up arrow icon and then the Save image button.

It is free, but some content is only available upon subscription to a subscription whose prices start at € 11.99 per month.

Similarly to other solutions of this type, it has a subscription that allows you to use all its tools in a limited way: the price starts at € 14.49 per month.
