Preliminary information
Before going into the details of the procedure on how to move on Pokémon GO , I think it may interest you to know more about this special title of the video game series originally conceived by Nintendo.
Well, Pokémon GO is a very different game from other video games dedicated to Pikachu and companions. In fact, it is a chapter designed for smartphones and tablets, which has a vision of fun rather different from the traditional titles of the series, both in terms of game mechanics and speaking of the imagery offered by the title.
The reason behind the numerous differences with the traditional Pokémon chapters is therefore to be found in the different nature of the Pokémon GO project, which seeks to be a more “engaging” title than the others from many points of view.
How to move on Pokémon GO
The most important novelty introduced by Pokémon GO compared to the other games in the series is that linked to the way in which the user moves within the game world.
In fact, Pokémon GO uses GPS and other geolocation systems to understand the user’s position and position it within the game world, built through the use of augmented reality.
This means that, in order to move, the player must enable the geolocation of his device and start walking in the real world : to activate this feature, all you have to do is then press the Allow item when the game asks you to enable geolocation and start moving in the real world. In short, nothing could be simpler!
As for the places present within Pokémon GO, the main structures to refer to are the PokéStops and the Gyms. The former are nothing more than meeting places in which to obtain items and spend time in the company of other trainers, perhaps using some Bait Modules to attract Pokémon to be caught. In the real world, PokéStops are usually places of historical / artistic interest, while in the game they are marked with blue circles .
As for the Gyms , the latter are nothing more than a place where trainers battle with their Pokémon to become the “masters” of a certain place.
In Pokémon GO, gyms are high- rise structures . As for the early stages of the game, my advice is to start grabbing items and upgrading via PokéStops, as Gyms are often very difficult to defeat.
Obviously, don’t miss the best Pokémon you will meet on the street: you can see which Pokémon are nearby through the tab at the bottom right of the screen. Also, to have more chances, I recommend that you get help from your friends or other players you meet during your adventure. How to improve geolocation in Pokémon GO
In some cases, Pokémon GO may have some trouble detecting your location. This is usually due to the common margin of error inherent in GPS. However, there is a method to improve geolocation accuracy through a native functionality offered by most mobile devices.
If you are using an Android device , to improve GPS accuracy, you need to go to Settings and look for the Geolocation / Location item . After that, you have to tap on the item High Accuracy / Accuracy of the geolocation and activate the relative lever . Unfortunately, I cannot be more precise with my indications, as each version of Android has a slightly different procedure.
If, on the other hand, you have an iPhone or an iPad, I simply recommend that you activate Bluetooth , GPS and Wi-Fi / cellular data , so that your smartphone has all the necessary sensors to correctly geolocate in Pokémon GO.
How to move while standing on Pokémon GO
Many players have not yet gotten used to the method used to move around in Pokémon GO and would like to play the Niantic title without having to walk in the real world.
In that sense, the Web is teeming with information related to hacks and tricks that allow you to do this, but my advice is to let it go. In fact, this method is not well received either by the community of gamers who are passionate about Pokémon GO or by the developers of the title. To have fun and have a healthy gaming experience, I therefore advise you not to listen to those who propose to teach you how to move while standing still on Pokémon GO.
However, I can give you some advice to make the time you are at home useful for the game: buy and save many Aromas . In fact, these consumable items are able to make Pokémon appear near your home and the movement you will have to make to capture them will be minimal or zero.
In short, by following this tip you can play a little Pokémon GO even when you are at home, but you will clearly have to alternate sessions outside to be able to continue. For more details on the Niantic game, I recommend that you check out my tutorial on how to play Pokémon GO .
