How to make videos on Instagram with music in stories

Since you want to know how to make videos on Instagram with music , the first solution I want to talk about, as well as one of the most useful in this sense, is the one that concerns the use of the Music sticker present within the Instagram stories , which, however, can only be used through the official app of the social network for Android (also downloadable from alternative stores ) and iOS .

This tool gives you access to a large library of music tracks that can be added in real time to a photo or video recorded on the spot, but also to content already present in the Gallery of your device, to be uploaded to the stories.

As mentioned, the Music sticker is available in the Instagram app for mobile devices; therefore, to use it, log in to the social network application and swipe from left to right on the main screen: by doing so, your device’s camera will start and, consequently, also the story creation tool.

Then record a video or take a photo, using the tools present in the stories (if you don’t know what they are and how to use them, refer to my tutorial in which I tell you how to use Instagram stories ), or import a movie, by tapping on it, after pressing the media gallery icon .

Now, press the square emoticon icon , in order to view the stickers menu and tap on the one called Music , in order to access the section of the music tracks on Instagram.

Once this is done, to add a song in the background for the entire duration of the recorded video, search for the title of the song of your interest and select it; then press the Finish button to see the final result. If you are satisfied with the result, publish the video in Instagram stories by pressing the Your Story button .

How to make videos on Instagram with music in posts

Wondering how to make videos on Instagram with music in posts ? In this case I must inform you that there is no native tool of the social network that allows you to insert music into videos to be published in posts .

You can, however, use third-party apps – such as those indicated later in this guide – to create a video with background music and then publish it on Instagram as a common post.

After obtaining the video with the background music, therefore, to publish it in the Feed, press the (+) button located in the upper right corner of the main screen of the social network, then select the Post item and choose the video to post from your device’s Gallery.

Press the Next button twice in a row, write an accompanying caption for the video and, finally, tap the Share button to post it on Instagram.

How to Make Instagram Videos with Music on Instagram Reel

Another solution that you can certainly rely on, if you want to make a video on Instagram with music is that relating to the use of the Instagram Reels section , which allows you to publish a video of a maximum duration of 60 seconds , which can also have a background music chosen from the Music section of the social network.

Therefore, start the Instagram app , log in to your account , if necessary, and press the (+) button , in order to start the editor dedicated to creating a Reel . Now, set the duration of the movie ( 15 , 30 or 60 seconds) and record the video, holding down the round button located in the center.

Then, press the music note icon , choose the music track to use as the background and tap it to add it.

At the end of the changes to the video created (for example by adding Effects ), press the Preview button and, if the result convinces you, press the Next button . Then write a caption for the movie and, finally, publish it by pressing the Share button .

How to save videos from Instagram with music

Would you like to save a video from Instagram with music ? In this case you can do it through the functions dedicated to both the stories and the Reels .

In the first case, after having published a story with music , swipe down, corresponding to it, then press the down arrow icon , to download the video in the memory of your device.

As for the possibility of downloading music videos created with Instagram Reels , instead, go to this section of the social network (from your profile page, as you can only download the videos with music that you created yourself).

After identifying the movie of your interest, press the icon (…) and, in the menu that is shown to you, tap on the Save item in the photo roll .

As an alternative to the solutions listed above, to make a video on Instagram with music and text , you can use third-party apps, such as those listed below, which allow you to apply a background music track to a video created on the spot or to a previously registered.

• Streaming music apps: Another solution you can rely on is to use a streaming music app, such as Spotify ( Android / iOS / iPadOS ) or Amazon Music ( Android / iOS / iPadOS ) o Apple Music ( Android / iOS / iPadOS ), which allow you to access catalogs consisting of millions of songs. In this case, in fact, you just have to start the song of your interest and you can use it as background music, while you record stories on Instagram.
• InShot( Android / iOS / iPadOS ): is a popular cross-platform free app that allows you to edit recorded or imported videos and offers the possibility of adding background music. It is free , but there is also a Pro version which, starting from € 3.99 per month, allows unlimited access to the integrated database of filters and effects.
• Viva Video( Android / iOS / iPadOS ) is another cross-platform app that offers the possibility of editing movies, adding filters and effects, as well as applying a musical soundtrack in the background. It can be used to record videos, but also to edit pre-recorded and imported movies. It is free , in its basic version, but for unlimited use of all its features it is necessary to purchase the paid version , whose prices start at € 7.49 / month.
