Preliminary information
Before going into the details of the procedure on how to make the invisibility potion in Minecraft, I think it may interest you to know more about the elements that make up this object.
Well, the invisibility potion, which allows you not to be seen, exists in 2 variants: the one that lasts for 3 minutes and the one that lasts for 8 minutes. Either way, you need to use distillation to create them.
I start, therefore, with the elements you need to create potions. The first thing you need is an Alembic, which is the object used to “mix” the ingredients. This element is created by joining, in a workbench, 1 Blaze Rod and 3 units of Crushed Stone.
If you don’t know how to make the basic elements, I invite you to take a look at my guides on how to make a workbench and how to survive in Minecraft. In particular, in this last guide I explained how to build all the necessary objects in the early stages of Survival mode.
As for, however, the Rod of Blaze, it is obtained by defeating the Blaze, enemies who are in a certain area of the game called the Nether. To reach the latter, I suggest you consult my guide on how to make the Nether portal.
The Pietrisco is found around the map, just break the block with a pickaxe. If you want to go further, you could follow my tutorial on how to make a Cobblestone Generator, which is a of rubble blocks generator.
Once you have created the Alembic, you will need a Cruet, which will act as a container for your potion. An Ampoule is created by joining 3 units of glass through the workbench. To find the primary element, I suggest you take a look at my guide on how to make glass in Minecraft.
After obtaining these items, you will need other items that will allow you to get to your goal. Specifically, you need 1 Nether Wart, which is a red plant usually found near the stairways of Nether Fortresses.
Additionally, you need 1 Golden Carrot, which is created by combining 1 Common Carrot with 8 Gold Nuggets. The carrots can be found in the villages where they are grown or sometimes are “released” by the Zombies defeated. The gold nuggets may instead be obtained by defeating the zombie pigs, which are located in the Nether.
In addition to this, you will need 1 Fermented Spider Eye, which is created by combining 1 Brown Mushroom, 1 Unit of Sugar and 1 Spider Eye. The mushrooms can be found in shaded areas (or even in caves), while the sugar is factory with 1 unit of sugar cane, which is located on the game map.
Finally, you will need 1 unit of Blaze Dust. The latter is obtained by inserting 1 unit of Blaze Rod, which I have already illustrated to you previously, inside a workbench.
These are the materials you need to craft a 3 minute stealth potion in Minecraft Survival mode. However, in case you want to create an extended potion, that is 8 minutes long, you will also need to recover 1 unit of Redstone Dust, which can be obtained starting from 1 unit of Redstone Block. The latter can be found by breaking the appropriate block with an iron or diamond pickaxe or by defeating the Witch, a very rare enemy to be found in the game.
In short, as you have probably noticed, it may not be very easy to find all the materials necessary to create the potion of invisibility in the Survival mode of Minecraft. For this reason, I recommend that you also refer to a handy tool. I refer to MineSearch: a portal that implements all the indications of the case on how to create the elements present within the Mojang title.
To take advantage of this possibility, just connect to MineSearch, type in the search bar (located at the top right) the name of the object you need and select the most relevant result.
This way, the portal will show you the combination of items needed to craft the item you need. In short, following my instructions and “leaning” on this tool, you should not have particular problems in finding all the elements even in Survival mode.
How to make the invisibility potion in Minecraft
After explaining the necessary elements, it’s time to take concrete action and create the potion of invisibility. If you want to do everything quickly and avoid possible mistakes, you might want to think about following the steps in Minecraft Creative mode.
The first thing you need to do is take the Ampolla and approach any source of water. In this way, interacting with a block of water while your character has the bottle in hand, you will get the bottle of water, which is the basic element to create practically all the Minecraft potions.
At this point, place an Alembic on the ground.
Next, interact with it and place 1 Water Bottle in the bottom left block, 1 Nether Wart in the top block, and 1 Blaze Dust unit in the top left block. Once the arrow on the right is completed, your item will have transformed into a Weird Potion.
At this point, place the Golden Carrot in the top block and wait for the element to transform into a Night Vision Potion.
Now it’s time to make a choice. If you want to get the Extended Potion, just place 1 unit of Redstone Dust in the top block and get the Extended Night Vision Potion (8 minutes). In the alternative case, you can move on to the next step.
Now, place the Fermented Spider Eye in the top block and that’s it: you have obtained the Invisibility Potion (extended or not).
After using it, you will see the invisibility icon appear at the top right for the minutes corresponding to the potion you have created, ie 3 minutes in the case of the “standard” potion and 8 minutes if you used the extended one, made using the Dust of Redstone.
Perfect, now you know everything there is to know about the Invisibility Potion in Minecraft. Since you are a fan of the Mojang title, I also recommend that you consult the page of my site dedicated to Minecraft, where you can find countless tutorials that could be for you.
