Preliminary information
Before going into the details of the procedure on how to evolve Magneton in Magnezone on Pokémon GO , I think it may interest you to know more about the various evolutions of this Pokémon.
Well, Magneton, number 82 of the official Pokédex , is the evolution of Magnemite , number 81 of the Pokédex . The latter Pokémon is known for its shape, which involves the presence of two magnets. Magnemite is Electric / Steel type , while its weaknesses are Fire , Fighting and Earth . Its food is electricity.
Magneton , the aforementioned evolution of Magnemite, represents the union of three of the latter. The type and weaknesses are the same. It can cause a powerful magnetic charge. However, this is not the most “powerful” evolution of Magnemite, as the final form is Magnezone , number 462 of the Pokédex .
Rumors claim that Magnezone is controlled directly from Space, via electromagnetic waves that the Pokémon receives through the iconic yellow antenna that peeks out of its head. Type and weaknesses are the same as Magnemite and Magneton, but Magnezone is the more “powerful” form.
Having made this necessary overview of the characteristics of Magneton, we come to its evolutionary process in Pokémon GO which, as mentioned, is a bit different from the usual.
How to evolve Magneton in Magnezone Pokémon GO
After explaining to you in detail the various evolutions of Magnemite, I would say that it is time to take action and evolve Magneton into Magnezone on Pokémon GO.
In reality, once you know the precautions to be implemented, it’s all very simple. In fact, it is enough to buy a magnetic bait module from the Shop for 200 Pokémonete , have 100 candies for Magneton set aside, go to a PokéStop and use the aforementioned object.
After that, all you have to do is access the Pokémon screen at your disposal, select Magneton and press the EVOLVE button (next to it there is the icon of the magnetic bait module and 100 candies). We must, therefore, confirm the evolution and that’s it: Magneton will become Magnezone.
If you have already played a bit of Pokémon GO you will have already understood how to carry out all the operations I have listed, but for safety I will go to dispel some doubts that may arise while trying to bring this evolution to fruition.
Starting from the 200 Pokémonets that are needed to buy the Magnetic Bait Module, I remind you that you can get them both without paying anything (but it takes some time) and through the micro-transactions available in the Niantic title.
In the first case, you might get lucky and find Pokémonete at Pokéstop, or you might think about placing your Pokémon in an allied Gym , in order to receive Pokémonete as a reward. The latter is the quickest way to get free coins on Pokémon GO.
If, on the other hand, you want to have the magnetic bait module immediately, you might think about spending real money on micro-transactions . Press, therefore, on the Poké Ball icon , present at the bottom while you are playing, and tap on the Shop box .
After that, scroll down until you reach the section dedicated to Pokémonete . Here you will find all the packs available within the game. Typically, they offer 100 coins for € 0.99 , 550 coins for € 5.49 , 1,200 coins for € 10.99 , 2,500 coins for € 21.99 , 5,200 coins for € 43.99 and 14,500 coins for € 109. 99 euros .
This means that you could buy 2 packages of 0.99 euros (for a total of 1.98 euros) to reach the fateful 200 Pokémonete necessary for the purchase of the magnetic bait module . The payment method depends on the platform used.
For more details, I recommend you to consult my tutorials on how to buy on Google Play (Android devices) and on how to buy on the App Store (iPhone and iPad).
In any case, it is usually enough to configure a valid payment method and press the BUY button . Once you have the 200 Pokémonets, just go to the Shop , press the Magnetic Bait Module icon and buy one.
As for the 100 candies , the latter can be obtained in different ways, for example by catching other Pokémon of the evolutionary line of Magnemite and traveling a certain distance with this Pokémon as a companion . In any case, I’m sure that if you’ve already evolved other Pokémon, you know this mechanic well.
For the rest, the last doubt you may have is related to PokéStops . Well, in case you didn’t know, the latter are nothing more than the places of interest scattered around the map, the ones that you usually “rotate” with your finger to get objects: it is in one of these points that you have to physically go to be able to use the object necessary for evolution.
I remind you that, once you reach a PokèStop, you have to use the magnetic bait module . Once this is done, press on the Poké Ball icon at the bottom, tap on the Pokémon box and look for Magneton . Then press on it and tap on the EVOLVE button . The operation will make use, in addition to the aforementioned form, of the 100 candies.
Perfect, now you know everything you need to know about the possibility of evolving Magneton into Magnezone on Pokémon GO.
Other Special Bait Modules
How do you say? Have you understood how to evolve Magneton into Magnezone and are you wondering if there are also other Pokémon that evolve in this way, so as to avoid possible future “surprises”? Don’t worry, I’ll explain the situation straight away.
In fact, you must know that, in the course of 2019, the developers of Pokémon GO have added several special Lure Modules to the game, just like the Magnetic Lure Module, which I told you about in the chapter on how to evolve Magneton into Magnezon .
The latter are used both to attract Pokémon of a certain type to a PokéStop and to evolve some specific Pokémon . More precisely, the aforementioned Magnetic Lure Module attracts Steel- type Pokémon and can also be used to evolve Nosepass into Probopass , as well as Magneton into Magnezon.
Going further, the other two items of this type added in 2019 are the Ice Lure Module and the Woodland Lure Module . The former attracts Ice- type Pokémon and can be used to evolve Eevee into Glaceon , while the latter attracts Grass and Bug- type Pokémon and is used to evolve Eevee into Leafeon .
In the case of Eevee, these are alternative methods to the classic one of nicknames, which I illustrated in my guide on how to get Glaceon on Pokémon GO . In short, now you know everything you need to know about the various Special Bait Modules. I just have to wish you a lot of fun!
