How to download FIFA demos

You’ve heard that a new chapter of FIFA, Electronic Arts’ official football simulation is out, and you’ve finally made up your mind to give it a try. You have therefore tried to understand if there is a way to test the game for free before buying it – as you are still undecided about it – and you have discovered the existence of a free demo. However, if you are here now and are reading this tutorial, it seems obvious to me that you have not been able to figure out how to download it. That’s the way it is, am I right? Then I am happy to inform you that you have come to the right place!

In today’s guide, in fact, I will explain in detail how to download the FIFA demo . In case you were wondering, I will show you the steps to take both for the computer version and for the PlayStation 4 edition of the EA title. I will also not fail to provide you with some interesting details about what can be done within the free trial version of the game. Obviously, I will also show you all the preliminary steps to take, in case you do not yet have all the accounts and tools necessary to access the demo.

Courage: why are you still standing there motionless in front of the screen? Do you want to start playing the latest version of FIFA? In my opinion yes, so I will not dwell further in small talk: all you have to do is take five minutes of free time and follow the quick instructions below. That said, there is nothing left for me to do, except wish you good reading and have fun!

Preliminary information

Before going into the details of the procedure on how to download the FIFA demo , I think it might interest you to learn more about the possibilities offered by the latter.

Well, usually the FIFA demo allows you to test the Kick- Off mode , or the “normal game”, with a few selected teams (for example, on FIFA 20 the teams available were Tottenham, Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool).

In the demo, this mode is often limited to a maximum duration of 4 minutes and numerous announcements appear at the beginning and end of each game explaining the qualities of the game and how to purchase the final version. You can play as many games as you want and you can also play it with other people locally, but you will always have to skip these “information pages”.

Every year FIFA introduces new features and often allows players to try them for free through the demo. For example, in FIFA 19 it was possible to test the “adventure” mode called The Journey , while in FIFA 20 there was a brief taste of Volta : a mode that allows you to play on the street (in the style of FIFA Street), and of UEFA Champions League , with matches that retrace the prestigious football tournament.

Even in the case of the new modes, the player is simply introduced to them and often games last a few minutes and are filled with advertisements inviting them to buy the full game. There are no restrictions on the number of matches, but often the teams and activities available are limited.

Unfortunately, I can’t give you detailed information regarding the PC requirements , as each version of FIFA is clearly different. In any case, usually all information of this type is published on the official website of Electronic Arts . So you shouldn’t have to work too hard to figure out if the FIFA demo can work well on your computer.

How to download FIFA demos on PC

The FIFA computer demo can be downloaded through Origin , the official program that allows you to manage Electronic Arts titles. Typically, the PC version of FIFA is only compatible with the Windows operating system.

To download and install Origin, then connected to the official website of Electronic Arts and click on the Download item on the main page. When the download is complete, start the OriginThinSetup.exe file obtained and first select the Run item and then the Install Origin item ; then check the box I have read and accept the Origin End User License Agreement and click Continue . If prompted, click on Yes , to grant all the necessary permissions to start the setup.

Next, type in the email address and password of your Electronic Arts account and press on the Login item . If you don’t want to enter your password too many times to log in, I also recommend checking the Keep me signed in box . If you do not have an account yet, just click on CREATE AN ACCOUNT , enter Country / Region and date of birth , check the box I accept the agreement with the user and click on Next .

Now, complete the fields email address , password , public ID , Name (optional) and Surname (optional) and presses the Next button . You will be asked to choose a security question from those on the screen and to enter the relevant security answer (which is used to recover the access credentials in case of loss).

After this step too, choose who can view your profile , your activities and your friends , selecting one of the available items among All , Friends , Friends of friends and Nobody . Finally, you just have to click on Create account and you will be sent a confirmation email that contains a 6-digit verification code : type the latter in the appropriate text field and press the Continue and Start buttons, to complete the registration. For more details, I invite you to take a look at my guide on how to create an EA account .

After installing Origin and logging in, click on the Store item on the left, hover the mouse over the Browse games item and press on FIFA . At this point, press on the FIFA box and first press the Try free now / Try it first button and then on the Add to Games Library button . Then select the My Games Library item on the left, click on the FIFA demo box and press the Download item .

Now, press the Accept button , select the Next item , check the I accept the license agreements box and click the Next button . Great, now you just have to wait for the download and installation to finish and press the Start button , to start playing the FIFA demo on your computer.

How to download FIFA demos on PS4

The FIFA demo is obviously also available on PlayStation 4 , where it can be downloaded for free via the PlayStation Store. How do you get it? I’ll explain it to you right away!

To download the FIFA demo on PS4 , you must first make sure the console is connected to the internet. To proceed, then go to the upper toolbar on the main console screen and press the X button on the controller on Settings (the toolbox icon). At this point, first select the Network item , then the Set Internet Connection item  and choose whether to connect to the Network via cable, selecting the word Use a network cable (LAN) , or via Wi-Fi, pressing the Use Wi-Fi item . In case you have chosen a wireless network, you will need to select thenetwork name and enter the passkey .

Once this is done, you need to verify that your console is associated with a PlayStation Network account . If you do not yet have a PSN account, you can create it totally free by going to Settings> PlayStation Network / Account Management and selecting first the item Log in to PlayStation Network and then that New user of PlayStation Network? Create an account . At this point, all you have to do is follow the on-screen directions , as I illustrated in my tutorial on how to access PlayStation Network .

Once you have successfully logged into the PlayStation Network, go to the main screen of the PlayStation 4 and press the X button of the pad on the PlayStation Store icon  (the shopping bag). Now, select the Games item on the left and press the X button on the controller on the word Demo . You just have to select the FIFA demo box and press the Free Trial button , in order to start the download.

Alternatively, you can select the Search item  from the top menu, search for  “FIFA” on the next screen and proceed with the download of the game demo as explained above.
