Preliminary information

Before getting to the heart of the matter and explaining, in practice,  how to download CoD Mobile on a PC , I feel it is my duty to give you some more “technical” information on this possibility. As you certainly know, the Call of Duty variant in question is explicitly designed to run on Android or iOS devices and should not normally be usable on a PC.

On the other hand, the company producing the game (the Chinese Tencent Games ) provides an official Android emulator  for PC, which allows you to play all its titles, including CoD Mobile, without having to perform special configurations or “tweaks” various.

This emulator, called  Gameloop , can be comfortably used even on older computers, as the minimum requirements  necessary to run it are rather modest.

• Operating system: Windows XP or later;
• Processor: dual-core with a frequency of 1.8 GHz (Intel or AMD);
• RAM: at least 2 GB;
• Video card: any, compatible with DirectX version 9.0c;
• Disk space:1 GB.

However, to play with maximum graphic detail, the recommended requirements for running the program at “full speed” must be respected  .

• Operating system: Windows 7 or later;
• Processor: Intel Core i5, AMD equivalent or later;
• RAM: 8GB or higher;
• Video card: dedicated NVIDIA or AMD.

In principle, the game can be used after emulation even on not very powerful hardware, as it is designed to run on smartphones and tablets (which are not always able to offer performance equal to that obtainable from a computer).

Furthermore, before continuing, I consider it necessary to clarify that those who play CoD Mobile on PC , therefore using  mouse and keyboard , are automatically placed in  separate games  from those who use the game with touch controls (therefore on smartphone or tablet): yes it is a decision made by the developers, so as not to give too much advantage to the players who use the computer.

This, however, does not always apply in the Battle Royale mode , if gamers who use a mobile device are invited to your team: in this case, in the opposing teams there can be both players who use the emulator, and players who use of touch controls.

How to download Call of Duty Mobile on Windows PC

Do you have a computer that meets Gameloop’s requirements? Very well, then you can easily use the emulator to immediately start playing CoD Mobile: let me explain how to download and run it for the first time on Windows .

First, connected to the official website of the game , click on the blue Download  button  and wait for the file to be completely downloaded into the computer memory.

When the download is complete, start the file obtained previously (eg com.activision.callofduty.shooter_900205109_NormalPackage_XX.exe ) and press the Yes buttons  , to immediately start installing the program. After a few seconds, you should see the welcome screen of the software which, in the meantime, will continue to self-install: you can check the status and progress of the setup through the information shown in the lower part of the window.

Once the software is installed (the “bar” at the bottom should disappear): then click on the My Games section located at the top and wait for the CoD Mobile app to be correctly installed and configured in the emulator: it may take several minutes, in based on the speed of your Internet connection and the power of your PC.

However, even in this case, you can check the progress of the game installation (along with the current download speed) by using the lower part of the window.

At the end of the installation, CoD Mobile will automatically start on your computer: by default, through the right sidebar, the emulator should offer you the default keys  configured for in-game actions. Essentially, they are the same used in the most well-known shooter titles: the WASD  keys are used to move the character, the  space bar  to jump, the C  key  to crouch and the Shift  key  to run.

To use the weapons and objects of the game, you must instead press the number keys from 1 to 9 ; to aim you use the right mouse button, while to shoot you need to use the left button . Finally, to interact with the elements of the game (e.g. open doors ), the F key must be used , while the R key must be used to reload . However, during the games, the game will show you the necessary commands, so you shouldn’t have any particular problems with this.

If, in any case, you wish to modify the commands, click on the keyboard- shaped button located in the right bar of the emulator: all the keys assigned to the various functions will appear (corresponding to the “touches” on the screen), which you can modify by clicking on the blue squares . When you have finished making changes, click on the Save button at the bottom right to save your preferences. Remember that, at any time, you can show or hide the command summary bar by pressing the F1  key  on the keyboard.

For the rest, you can put the game in  full screen  by pressing the icon with the  arrows  located on the right, take  screenshots  by clicking on the window- shaped icon  with +  and record  videos by  pressing the circle- shaped button  .

How to download CoD Mobile on Mac

As you may have noticed, the steps I indicated in the previous chapter of this guide refer to Windows PCs but, if you have come this far, I imagine that you are interested in downloading and running CoD Mobile on Mac . Did I guess? Well, in that case I have some more information to give you on the subject.

Gameloop is currently the only method officially recognized by Tencent for using Call of Duty Mobile on a computer and, as you may have guessed, it is only available for Windows.
