To improve your gaming experience and have the ability to launch Among Us on a larger screen than your smartphone, you’d like to download the game in question to your computer: not knowing how to proceed, however, you’ve done some research on the Web, and so you ended up straight in this guide of mine.
That’s the way it is, right? Then let me tell you that you’ve come to the right place at the right time! In the next paragraphs of this tutorial, in fact, I will explain how to download Among Us on PC providing you with all the information you need to succeed in your intent.
First of all, however, I have to make an important clarification: the “native” version of Among Us for PC, compatible only with Windows, is paid. Alternatively, you can download the mobile version of the title at no cost through an Android emulator, that is a program capable of running apps and games for Android on both Windows and macOS. How to download Among Us on PC for free
The only solution available to download Among Us on PC without spending a cent is to use an Android emulator that allows you to download and use all applications designed for smartphones and tablets equipped with the green robot operating system on Windows and macOS. How to do? Find everything explained in detail right below.
How to download Among Us on PC: Windows
All you have to do to download Among Us on Windows PC is to start the Android emulator, access the Play Store in the latter and start the download of the game in question.
There are several emulators for Android, but personally I recommend Bluestacks , which is among the most popular and one that offers better performance for games. First, then connected to the official website of Bluestacks and click on the Download Bluestacks button , to start the download of the program in question.
Once the download is complete, double-click on the BlueStacksInstaller_ [version] .exe file , click on the Yes button , to allow the software to make changes to your computer, and click on Install now , to start installing Bluestacks. Wait, therefore, for the progress bar visible near the item Download in progress to reach 100% and the program will be installed and started automatically. At the first start of Bluestacks, on the Google Play screen , click on the Register and Login buttons , enter your Google account data in the Email address or phone number fields and Enter the password and press the Next button to login . If, on the other hand, you prefer to create a new account to be used exclusively on Bluestacks, follow the instructions to create a Google account in my tutorial dedicated to the theme.
At this point, write “Among Us” in the Search games and apps field , at the top right, and press the magnifying glass icon to view the search results. In the new screen that appears, locate Among Us , hover your mouse pointer over its preview image and click the Install button .
The Among Us page on the Play Store will automatically open: press, then, on the Install button , wait for the progress bar to reach 100% and click on the Open button , to start Among Us and start playing from the computer.
How to download Among Us on PC: Mac
The procedure to download Among Us on Mac is almost identical to what I indicated in the previous lines for downloading the game in question on Windows. Also in this case, in fact, you will have to download and install Bluestacks on your computer and, then, download Among Us using this Android emulator.
To download Bluestacks on macOS, connected to the official website of the program , click on the Download Bluestacks button and wait for the download to be completed. Then open the .dmg package obtained, double-click on the BlueStacks icon inside it, press the Open and Install now buttons , enter the password of your user account on macOS and click on the Install assistant button , to start the ‘installation.
Once this is done, wait for the progress bar to reach 100%, press the Start button , enter your Google account data in the Email address or phone number and Enter password fields and click the Next and Accept buttons to log in and access the Bluestacks main screen.
At this point, you are ready to download Among Us. Then start the Play Store by clicking on its icon, write “Among Us” in the Search for apps and games field located at the top and press the Enter key on the keyboard to view the search results. Then click on the Install button related to Among Us , wait for the progress bar to reach 100% and press the Open button , to start Among Us and start playing from your Mac.
How to download Among Us on PC without Bluestacks
If you prefer to download Among Us on PC without Bluestacks , you should know that the game in question is also available in a paid version for Windows PC , which you can buy on Steam , the famous digital distribution platform developed by Valve that also allows you to buy video games and software in digital copy.
If you think this is the best solution to download and play Among Us from your computer, connect to the official Steam website and click on the Install Steam button , at the top right, to download the software in question. Once the download is complete, double-click on the SteamSetup.exe file , press the Yes button , to allow the program to make changes to your computer, select the Next option , put the check mark next to the language of your interest and click the Next buttons and Install , to start the Steam installation.
Wait, then, for the progress bar to reach 100%, make sure there is a check mark next to the Run Steam item and press the Finish button , to close the window and start downloading the update files necessary for the operation of the Steam client. When you first start Steam, if you already have an account, enter the details in the Account Name and Password fields and click the Login button to log in. If, however, you do not have an account yet, select the Create a new account option and follow the instructions shown on the screen to create one. You are now ready to download Among Us. To do this, select the Shop item in the menu located at the top, write “Among Us” in the Search the shop field and press the magnifying glass icon to view the search results. Then press on the preview image of Among Us, locate the item Buy Among Us and click on the buttons Add to cart and Purchase for me .
In the new screen displayed, select the payment method you prefer ( PayPal , paysafecard , Visa , MasterCard , American Express , JCB and Skrill ) using the drop-down menu Choose a payment method , enter the data in the appropriate fields and press the Continue button , to complete the payment.
Once this is done, select the Library option , click on the Among Us item visible in the sidebar on the left, press the Install button , choose whether to create quick links to the game by placing the check marks next to the Create a desktop shortcut and Create shortcut options in the Start menu and click on the Next and Accept buttons to start the game download.
Once the download is complete, go back to the Library section of Steam, select Among Us and press the Play button , to launch the title and start playing.
