Would you like to promote your Instagram account on other social networks but instead of writing your username would you prefer to insert the link to your profile? Would you like to know how to copy the link of a post, a story or directly from a user’s profile on Instagram, so that you can send it to your friends? Don’t worry, I’m here to help you and to explain, in a simple but at the same time detailed way, how to do it.

In fact, in this tutorial of mine, I want to show you how to copy the Instagram link. The operation, I anticipate it immediately, can be performed both from smartphones and tablets (therefore through the official app of the service for Android and iPhone) and from a computer, via browser or the Instagram application for Windows.

Furthermore, as I will explain in the next chapters, depending on what your actual needs are, you can copy both the link of your profile and that of others, but also the one related to posts and stories published by other users. Are you ready to get started? Yup? Well. Enjoy your reading and have fun!

How to copy the link of the Instagram profiles

Are you interested in finding out how to copy any user’s Instagram profile link (even yours)? In that case, follow the instructions on what to do below.

From Android and iOS

Do you want to copy the link of an Instagram profile from Android or iOS? Nothing simpler. In this case, in fact, to succeed, all you have to do is go to the profile of the account of your interest, looking for it through the search engine of the app, if necessary. Then press the button (…) which is located at the top right and finally select the item Copy the URL of the profile in the menu that is shown to you

Do you need to share the link of the Instagram profile of your interest with other users who in turn use the famous social network? In this case, after pressing the button (…), click on Share this profile and tap the Send button, corresponding to the users with whom to share.

From PC

Even if you use the Instagram application for Windows 10 or if you use the web version of Instagram, you can copy the link of the profile of other users.

To perform the operation in question, start the application on your PC by calling it from the Start menu or log in to your Instagram account by connecting to the official website of the social network.

Now, go to the profile of the user of your interest and, once the relevant screen is displayed, if you are using the Instagram application for Windows 10, click on the button (…) which is located in the upper right corner and select Copy URL option from the menu that opens.

From the Web, instead, refer to the link in the address bar, as that is the link of the profile: to copy it, click on the URL, then right-click and, finally, press the Copy item in the menu that comes to you show.

Alternatively, click on the hyperlink and use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C (on Windows ) or cmd + c (on Mac ), to copy the link and then paste it wherever you want to share it.

How to copy your Instagram link

Wondering how to copy the Instagram link as you would like to quickly share the link that refers to your profile and, therefore, invites other users to follow you? In addition to the information I gave you in the previous chapter, relating to all profiles, you can take advantage of a particular function that allows you to share your profile through a dedicated code: everything is explained below.

From Android and iOS

Through the Instagram app for Android (downloadable from the Play Store or from alternative stores ) and for iOS (downloadable from the App Store ), you can easily share the link of your Instagram profile through a customizable QR code which, scanned by other users, links to your profile and can be used to help other users find your account and thus follow you faster.

To get started, launch the photo social network app, and log into your account if necessary. Then, on the main screen, press the menu icon located in correspondence with the section of your profile, then tap on the QR Code item.

At this point, you will be shown your nametag, which is a QR code that refers to your profile: you can customize it, choosing the color or the background emoji to use. Finally, to copy it, press the share icon located in the upper right corner and choose the messaging app or that of another social network in which to paste it.

The nametag can be scanned by other users, through the camera of their device, or through the section QR code> Scan the QR code of the Instagram app.

From PC

The QR code that refers to your Instagram profile can also be obtained from a PC, using the Instagram application for Windows 10 or by connecting to the official website of the well-known photographic social network.

To do this, log into your account if necessary, then go to your profile screen.

Now, click on the gear icon and, in the new screen that is shown to you, click on the Nametag item. Once this is done, customize the color of the nametag and, when you are satisfied with the changes, press the Download the nametag button, to download it to your computer.

By doing so, you can share it with other users and eventually print it, in case you need to post it. The nametag, in fact, can be scanned through the camera of your device but also through the Instagram app, acting from the QR Code> Scan the QR code section.

How to copy the link of posts on Instagram

If you are interested in copying the Instagram link by intervening on the posts, you will be happy to know that the indications on what to do are those you find in this chapter. Also in this case, the operation can be performed from smartphones and tablets as well as from computers.

From Android and iOS

To copy the post link on Instagram from your Android smartphone or tablet or from iPhone, locate the photo or video of your interest and tap it to view it.

At this point, press the button (…) which is located at the top right and press the Copy link item in the menu that is shown to you.

Alternatively, after pressing the (…) button, tap on the Share item and, in the menu that is shown to you, choose in which other messaging app or social network to share the link in question.

From PC

In order to copy the link of the posts on Instagram from the application for Windows 10 or from the official website, the first step you need to take is to locate the photo or video of your interest, so that you can click on it to view it.

Then, click on the button (…) located at the top right and, in the menu that is shown to you, click on the Copy link option.

Alternatively, you can select the Share on item and proceed with sharing the post in the private messages of Instagram ( Share on Direct ) or on other social networks, for example by selecting the option relating to Facebook, Messenger or the one relating to Twitter.

How to copy Instagram story links

If you wish, you can also copy the link for an Instagram story, so that you can share it with other users. follow the instructions you find in the next paragraphs which refer to the possibility of doing it from a smartphone/tablet and computer.

From Android and iOS

To copy the link of an Instagram story via the social network app for Android and iOS, you must first identify the user who shared the story you are interested in.

Once this is done, press on his profile picture, to see the stories he has published, and eventually tap on the photos or videos, in case there are more than one (in order to identify more quickly the specific story that you are interested).

At this point, click on the icon (…) located in the upper right corner and, in the menu that is shown to you, tap on the Copy link item to copy it. Alternatively, press the Share on button to share it in a messaging app or social network of your choice.

From PC

If you prefer to act from a PC, through the Instagram application for Windows 10 or using its official website, the procedures to be carried out are just as simple and immediate.

First of all, in fact, identify the profile of the user who published the story of your interest, in order to click on his profile icon and view the contents he published in the stories of the photographic social network.

At this point, if you are using the Instagram app for Windows 10, press the icon (…) located in the menu bar at the top of the application and click the Copy button, to copy the URL of the story.

Acting from the web, instead, click on the address bar while viewing the story of your interest. Finally, right-click and press on the Copy item in the menu that is shown to you.

How to paste copied Instagram links

Have you copied the Instagram link to your clipboard and now you don’t know how to paste it where you think is most appropriate? Don’t worry, I’ll explain immediately how to proceed. Below you will find the operations to be performed on Android, iOS, Windows and macOS.

• On Android, open the app where you want to paste the link you just copied, press in the text field where you want to insert the link and continue holding until the Paste button appears on which to press.
• On iOS, go to the app where you intend to paste the link you just copied and tap anywhere where you can enter text. Finally, in the menu that opens, tap on the Paste option.
• On Windows, connect to the website or open the application where you want to paste the link you copied earlier, right-click where you can insert text and click the Paste item in the menu that is shown to you. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V.
• On macOS, connected to the website where you want to paste the link you copied earlier, right-click where you can insert text and click the word Paste in the menu that you see on the screen. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut cmd + v.

How to copy Instagram link on Facebook

Have you copied the link of an Instagram profile, post or story and would like to paste it on Facebook? Then you will be happy to know that succeeding in this intent is very simple: all you have to do, in fact, is access the social network, locate the text field in which to paste the link in question and use the Paste function.

Using the Facebook app for Android (downloadable from the Play Store or alternative stores ) or iOS / iPadOS, to do this, press and hold your finger on the text field and, in the menu that is shown to you, press on the Paste item.

If, on the other hand, you are acting as a PC, right-click on the text field and then press the Paste item in the menu that is shown to you. Alternatively, use the key combination Ctrl + V (Windows) or cmd + v (macOS).
