How to connect a PS4 controller to your iPhone
As fun and challenging as iPhone games are, some games can be difficult to play when all you have is a touchscreen. This is especially true for first person shooters and other games that require precise movement.
But there is good news for PlayStation 4 gamers: you can connect a PS4 controller to your iPhone and use it to play games on your iPhone.
Tip: Not all games support a controller, and the App Store usually doesn’t tell you which games are allowed to do this and which ones aren’t. The only real way to find out is to do some research online or check it out for yourself.
You can start by connecting your PS4 controller via the iPhone bluetooth menu.
How to connect a PS4 controller to an iPhone
1. On your PS4 controller, press the PlayStation and Share buttons. Keep both pressed until the backlight flashes, which means your PS4 controller is in pairing mode.
2. While your controller is in pairing mode, open the iPhone Settings app and select the Bluetooth tab . Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your iPhone. If it isn’t, you can click the slider at the top of the screen to turn it on.
3. Your iPhone will search for nearby Bluetooth devices. When it finds your controller, you should see its name under Other Devices – if you are using an official PS4 controller, it will most likely be named DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller . Tap it to connect.
4. Please wait. After successful connection of the controller, it will appear in the “ My devices ” list with the word “ Connected ”.
Good game! And if you’re looking for a new game that can use new controls, Apple Arcade has tons of great options.
