Preliminary information

Before going into the details of this guide and explaining, in detail, how to change your name on Clash Royale , it might be useful to know what are the minimum requirements to change your name and how many times you can do it.

Let’s start by saying that, in order to change the nickname in use on Clash Royale, it is necessary to have reached at least the King level 4  (the level that indicates the strength of the king’s tower and the princess’s towers). Those who have not yet reached the level in question, to change their name, must first earn new chests in battle, obtain new improvements of their cards by opening the chests and improve the cards in exchange for the coins earned.

Furthermore, it will be useful to know that it is possible to change the name several times (between one change and the other it is necessary to wait 6 hours) but only the first change is completely free : subsequent changes can only be made in exchange for gems and each new modification will require more and more gems.

For this reason, before changing your name in Clash Royale, I advise you to carefully choose the new nickname to use in the game, making sure not to use an offensive or inappropriate nickname. In this case, the Supercell staff (the company that developed Clash Royale) will modify the name as they wish and, in case of using gems for the modification, will not offer any compensation.

Change name on Clash Royale for the first time

As mentioned in the opening lines of this guide, it is possible to change the name on Clash Royale for the first time for free. All you have to do is access your account settings, choose the option to change the name and enter the new nickname chosen.

To proceed, therefore, take your smartphone or tablet, start the Clash Royale app, wait for the game to load and, first of all, make sure you have reached at least Level re 4 (visible at the top left), a necessary requirement for change the name.

If you have not yet reached the level in question, the only thing you can do is to continue playing Clash Royale and improve your King level. To start a new battle, tap the two swords icon and press the Battle button . Each battle won will allow you to earn a chest to unlock and open: inside, you will be able to find coins, new cards and / or card improvements already available in your account. In this regard, my guide on how to see chests on Clash Royale may be useful .

To improve your cards, go to the Cards section , locate the ones that can be improved (they are identified by a green bar ) and press the Improve [number] coins button (twice in a row). For each improvement of a card in your deck, you will earn points, which allow you to increase the King level of your account and, therefore, reach level 4 to change your name.

Having said that and having reached King Level 4, to change the nickname in use, access the Battle section of Clash Royale, by tapping on the icon of the two swords , then press the ☰ button (top right) and select the Settings option from the menu that appears.

In the new screen displayed, press the Change name and OK buttons , enter the new nickname you want to use in the Enter the new name field and tap the Continue button , then enter the new name again in the Re- enter the new name field and press the Continue button .

To confirm your intention, enter the Confirm command in the appropriate field, tap the OK button and you’re done. The message Your name has been changed will confirm that the change has been made.

How to change name on Clash Royale multiple times

If you are wondering how to change your name on Clash Royale several times , you will be happy to know that the procedure is almost identical to what I have already indicated in the previous lines regarding the first change of the nickname . Starting with the second modification, however, it is possible to complete the operation only in exchange for gems.

To proceed with changing your name, access the Battles section of your account, tap the ☰ button and choose the Settings option from the menu that appears. Now, select the Change name item , to view the number of gems needed to complete the operation ( 500 gems are required to change the name the second time ).

If the gems at your disposal are not enough to change your name, you should know that you can get them for free by continuing to play. Alternatively, you can buy gems from the Clash Royale store: in this case, select the Shop option (the trunk icon in the menu located at the bottom), locate the Gems section , choose the option of your interest among Fist of gems (80 gems for € 1.09), Bag of gems (500 gems for € 5.49), Bucket of gems (1,200 gems for € 10.99), Barrel of gems (2,500 gems for € 21.99), Wagon of gems (6,500 gems for 54.99 euros) and Mountain of gems (14,000 gems for € 109.99) and complete the purchase via Google Play or iTunes.

As soon as you have reached the number of gems needed to change your name on Clash Royale, access the Battles section again , tap the ☰ button and select the Settings and Change name options from the menu that opens. Then press the button for the number of gems needed to change the name, enter the new nickname to be used on Clash Royale in the Enter the new name and  Re- enter the new name fields  and tap the Continue button .

Finally, enter the Confirm command in the appropriate field and press the OK button , to confirm your intention and change your name on Clash Royale.

Change clan name on Clash Royale

If you are wondering if it is possible to change the name of the clan on Clash Royale , you must know that, if you are the clan leader, you can change the description, position, decoration and type of your clan but you cannot change its name. In that case, the only solution available to you is to exit the clan in question and create a new one.

If your intention is to change your clan information, access the Social section , make sure you have selected the Clan tab , press on your clan name , tap on the gear wheel icon and, in the new screen displayed, edit the information of your interest ( Decoration , Description , Type , Trophies needed and Position ). Then press the Save button to save the changes made.

If, on the other hand, you want to leave your clan to create a new one, access the Social section , tap on the name of your clan and press the Exit  and Yes buttons  to leave the clan. Once this is done, access the Social section again , select the Create tab and enter the new name to use for your clan in the Clan name field , then specify the information requested in the Decoration , Description , Type , Trophies needed and Location fields and press on the Create button , to create your new clan.

In case of doubts or problems

If you have followed the instructions I gave you in the previous paragraphs in detail but you still have some doubts regarding changing your name on Clash Royale, I suggest you access the support section of the game to find all the answers you are looking for in complete autonomy.

To do this, start Clash Royale, make sure you are in the Battles section (if not, press the two swords icon ), press the ☰ button located at the top right and select the Settings option from the menu that appears. In the new screen displayed, tap on the Help and assistance item , enter your question in the Describe your problem field and tap on the result of your interest, to try to solve your doubts.
