Talking about the January update, the sharing announced that the new version will be available with the build number SP1A.210812.016.A2 . This update, which includes the January security suite and some bug fixes, is featured by Google fixing the bug that prevented users from making emergency calls when certain third-party apps are installed.
One of the applications that caused this error was Microsoft Teams. Later, Microsoft released a version to fix this problem. However, Google has focused on firmware-level changes to prevent this error from recurring.
Another of the bugs in the old version was that the devices would automatically unlock the phone after a missed call. Pixel 3a and Pixel 6 series devices are getting an update that will prevent this error as well. In addition, there is a change that will make it easier to control changes made from multiple devices.
