Evil Dead: The Game Delayed Until February 2022
Fans of the Evil Dead universe will be disappointed. Representatives of the Saber Interactive studio have officially announced that the release of the game Evil Dead: The Game, which was scheduled to launch this year, has now been postponed to February 2022. Recall that in Evil Dead: The Game, players will be presented as familiar faces from all over the Evil Dead franchise, uniting them in a cooperative alliance to fight the forces of darkness. And the weapons will be very diverse – a chainsaw, swords and all kinds of melee and ranged weapons. In addition to cooperative action, a PvP component has been added, in which one player becomes the Kandari Demon himself, able to move around the map in an attempt to thwart people’s plans.
Apart from the usual reasons (covid-19, time for additional work), the developers at Saber Interactive also reported that they are also working on a single-player game mode. It was originally planned that the video game would only be multiplayer. “Hey cool gamers, we’re aiming for a new release date to give the team some extra time to tweak and make sure this is the best Evil Dead experience you’ve all been looking forward to!” – said in a Twitter post. “This extra time will also enable us to implement a single-player option that allows you to enjoy the game when you don’t have co-op mates.”
The game will appear on platforms: Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S.
