You can easily set your Apple Watch face to change automatically whenever or wherever you want. Let’s say you go to work at 8:30 am every day and you want your watch face to be adjusted in a simple and classic way; This shortcut will help you do just that.

Here’s what you need to do

Before you begin, make sure you have the Apple Shortcuts app installed on your iPhone. If the app is not available on your device, go to the App Store -> search for “Shortcuts” and download it to your iPhone running iOS 12 or later.

Step 1: To get started, open the Shortcuts app on your paired iPhone  and tap on the “Automation” tab  at the bottom of the screen  .

Step 2: Tap Create Personal Automation and select Time of Day. Note that if you have already created automation, you will need to tap the “+” button in the upper right corner of the screen and click on Create Personal Automation.

Step 3: Select either Sunrise or Sunset  and then define a specific time around these solar events depending on your needs. You can also choose a repeat option such as Daily, Weekly or Monthly .

Step 4: After defining the time, tap Next in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 5: Tap  Add Action . Then use the  search bar to search for Clock and  select Set Clock Face from the result list of watch faces .

Step 6: On the Actions  screen,   tap on the word “Face”  located just below  “Set active watch face as” . Then select the watch face you want to change at the specified time. You can also use the search bar to search and select a watch face.

Step 7: On the Actions screen,  tap Next in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Step 8: Next, turn off the toggle  next to Ask Before Running  and  confirm the action by tapping Don’t Ask in the popup. Then tap on done in the top right corner of the screen.

Automatically change your Apple Watch face based on location

Changing the Apple Watch face to a location is just as simple.

Step 1: To get started, open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone  -> Automation tab   at the bottom  -> Create Personal Automation.

Step 2: Now choose Arrive or Leave depending on when you want your Apple Watch face to change automatically  .

Step 3: Now tap on the “Select”  option  appearing next to  Location and then choose a preferred location  . You can select a location by searching or entering the address .

Step 4: After selecting the desired location,  tap Next in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 5: Tap the “+” Add Action  button.  Next, use the search field to search for  “Watch” and select “Adjust Watch Face ” from the list of actions .

Step 6: On the Actions screen,  tap on the word “Face”  that appears just below  “Set active watch face as”  . Then select your preferred watch face that you want to change when arriving or leaving the specified location.

Step 7: Finally,  tap Next when the Actions screen appears and hit Done  on the New Automation screen to finish  .
