How to sync AOL email with the Mail app in Windows 10
Usually, upgrading to Windows 10 improves the user’s life, rather than causing annoying problems. Since we do not live in a perfect world, sometimes problems arise when moving to a new Microsoft operating system with more than 300 million active users. Many users reported that after the update, they were unable to sync their AOL email account with the Windows 10 Mail app. In this article, we described how to fix this problem.

The problem is likely account related. The configuration file is corrupted causing this issue to appear. Follow these steps:

- Go to “Account Management”> “Delete Account”> select and delete the AOL profile
- After removing it, add it back and check if the problem is gone.
Check the server settings in the Mail application
If your account information is incorrectly configured in Mail, then follow these steps:
- Go to Settings> Account Management> AOL.
- Click on “Mailbox Synchronization Settings” and make sure the following are set:
IMAP username: YourUsername@aol.com. Incoming mail server: imap.aol.com ((use port 143 for standard or 993 for SSL connections). SMTP outgoing server address: smtp.aol.com. Set the port to 587. Turn on privacy options

Changing the sync duration:

- In the new dialog, click on Synchronization Options and select a duration.
- After completing these steps, the data is synchronized.
Checking antivirus settings
Many tools have built-in firewalls that block software from accessing the Internet. Keep in mind that if you turn off your antivirus, your computer is protected by Windows Defender, so you don’t have to worry about your security. If disabling the antivirus does not help, then remove it.
Run the troubleshooter
